Birthday lunch perfection with thoughtful touches throughout. A birthday card was waiting on our table when I arrived, which immediately set a welcoming tone. I also loved the reservation system, it was seamless and easy to use.
The food was excellent. The chicken wing appetizer was worth it. I would like to order that app as my dinner next time… because I don’t want to share! The soy-glazed salmon was outstanding, and I cannot overstate how flavorful it was. The Hollandaise sauce was broken, but still tasty. The Reuben was rich, savory, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients, though the bread was slightly soggy, a minor drawback.
I ordered an eggnog that was much stronger than I expected, with a heavy pour of bourbon. Erin, our server, was exceptionally kind and attentive and graciously brought me additional non-alcoholic eggnog so I could dilute it. While I personally prefer lighter drinks (I only have one drink per year), my husband considered the generous pour a definite plus.
For dessert, I was treated to a complimentary sliver of Hank’s cheesecake for my birthday. It was a small portion but a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. Overall, a lovely experience and a place I would gladly visit again.

Bishop’s Post is a standout spot for anyone looking to enjoy upscale comfort food in a relaxed yet polished setting. One of its biggest highlights is the scenic outdoor patio—an inviting space that’s perfect for warm evenings, casual gatherings, or a laid-back date night. The ambiance strikes a great balance between contemporary and cozy, making it easy to settle in and enjoy your time.
The menu delivers exactly what you’d hope for from a modern eatery: elevated comfort eats done right. Dishes are thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling overdone. Whether you’re stopping by for dinner or just drinks, the full bar is well-stocked and complements the food perfectly with a solid selection of cocktails, wine, and beer.
Overall, Bishop’s Post offers a great combination of atmosphere, quality food, and a welcoming vibe. The outdoor patio alone makes it worth a visit, but the contemporary menu and full bar keep you coming back. A reliable choice for a relaxed yet refined dining experience.

Bishop’s Post in St. Louis delivered a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. I began with the house salad, which was fresh and well-balanced, with crisp mixed greens and a light, flavorful vinaigrette that set the tone nicely. The Chilean sea bass was well prepared, delicate, and rich, paired beautifully with the mushroom risotto and complemented by the bright limoncello sauce without overpowering the fish. Dessert sealed the deal with a trio of decadent butter cake to the classic New York–style cheesecake and rich fudge brownie. Thoughtfully prepared dishes, elegant presentation, and a refined yet comfortable atmosphere made this an enjoyable experience.

Bishop’s Post offers a delightful dining experience that seamlessly blends a warm, inviting atmosphere with an impressive menu. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by a rustic yet elegant décor that sets the perfect backdrop for a relaxed meal.
The service is outstanding—attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The chef’s special was a standout, featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that burst with flavor.
The cocktail selection is truly impressive, showcasing both classic favorites and creative house specials. I highly recommend trying the signature drink, which perfectly complemented our meal.
Overall, Bishop’s Post excels in delivering a top-notch dining experience. Whether you’re looking for a romantic night out or a gathering with friends, this restaurant hits all the right notes. I can’t wait to return! Highly recommend to anyone in the Chesterfield area.

Extremely overpriced… My wife and I went last night for the first time. I got the Chicken Piccata with Risotto and she got the Tuscan ravioli. For $34 I received a small dry flat piece of chicken and a scoop of Risotto along with a handful of very small pieces of squash. The Caesar salad was another $12 and was average at best. My wife’s meal was good she said, but overall we were not overly impressed after paying $150 for a dinner. We will not be going back….
Edit… In response that your Chicken Piccata is only $24 you charged me $34. Please see attached receipt!!! You should have my contact number from the reservation that I made. Please feel to reach out at your earliest convenience to discuss what can be done to rectify this situation. Thx!

The atmosphere is alright. The patio is pretty. The inside was just a bit dark and had an odd smell. The food was not great. I ate it due to paying for it. But the calamari doesn’t remotely resemble or taste like calamari. They were in strips, and they had a weird texture. And the shrimp on the shrimp po boy isn’t bad, but definitely over priced. Lots of bread, and a bland sauce. I could think of a dozen other restaurants to get both items that are soooo much better (Taytros, Landrys, really anywhere else).
The server was nice. I honestly wouldn’t waste my money coming here again.

We met for dinner to celebrate 3 friends b-days. 🙂 Courtney was our superb waitress! We were able to understand her when she explained the evenings specials, she was attentive to refilling our drinks and serving our food warm. Yum!! Tables were far enough apart that we weren’t able to hear neighboring tables conversations. Great atmosphere! What a beautiful landscape around the outside patio!

I feel like it has the menu of other high end restaurants but the service really was kind of flat. Our server was either new, or management wasn’t instilling confidence. The table was dirty, the places weren’t set for the reservation, the silverware was horribly spotted from poor or cheap washing. We had to wave down staff way too often for this price point. The other staff we waved down were clearly agitated that they had to help a customer with something like a bag for leftovers. A lot of critics will review the restrooms as a sign of a quality restaurant, and I can tell you the paper towels were held up by scotch tape. This is a cool location, and could really use some quality training and standards for the staff to bring it in line with the price being asked. There are lots of other places I can spend $300 for dinner at, I dont think this will be one of them in the future.

First time here for us was last night. Our server was absolutely wonderful! We were a group of 10 on patio on the far left. I did not catch her name but she is a gem. I had tuna & my husband had the ravioli. The Cesar salad was delish. Spectacular evening although it was chilly, we will be back.

Made a reservation here on a whim and it was an amazing decision! We sat on the patio and loved sitting next to all the flowers and little creek. The service was amazing even though they were busy, no complaints. The food was very good and the dessert was phenomenal! Order the gooey butter cake dessert.
