I was very excited to try The Loveless Cafe but didn’t have the time to wait 2 hours for a seat for one, as I had a flight back home to catch. The hostess told me the food next door at the gas station was the same food as inside the restaurant. Boy, do I really hope she was wrong about that. For $22.86 (including tip), I ordered the Famous Loveless Cafe Country Ham platter with 2 “scrambled eggs”, home fried potatoes, gravy and a side of mac n cheese ($15.89). The potatoes were the only descent thing here. The biscuits were cold and hard as a rock, the eggs, exactly like the ones you’d find at a motel continental breakfast (likely made from powered eggs), the ham hard and dry, as if it had been microwaved and thrown into my styrofoam container, and the mac n cheese was extremely bland and had no flavor. Leaving Nashville on this note was disappointing, as I went out of my way to try this place before going home. I’m afraid the Loveless Cafe is all hype. There are much better places to spend your money in exchange for a much tastier meal. This place is quite literally, highway robbery.

Loved this place like 5 years ago but it has gone way down. Went this morning for the first time in probably 6 months and I get that prices are rising around the country but come on. The side dish is now an underwhelming ice cream scoop as apposed to an individual container, I would say I got about 1/3 of what we used to get. The sausage had been sitting out for a while and was hard as a hockey puck, I could have chipped a tooth it was that hard. The biscuit was also hard and tough at the same time and they barely filled my tea halfway. I had to throw the biscuits away so I just spent over $8 on 4 bites of hashbrown casserole and half a tea.

I’m shocked there’s anything less than 4-5 stars! Every time I’ve visited here I am never disappointed! I’ll never wait in line for loveless again, this my family’s go to quick but homemade tasting breakfast. Plus the drive thru makes it so easy! I couldn’t recommend more for that loveless taste with a quarter of the wait!

After going to loveless cafe and finding a 2 hour wait decided to come here. The biscuits were good, the hashbrown casserole was good. But the chicken tenders were so tough I could not eat them. Definitely pales in comparison to the real deal.

Overall it was not a bad quick breakfast. Better than most fast food and gas station grub, but pricy. And the lady serving it was pretty grumpy.

Just ate lunch there. $13 after tip. It was terrible. Sorry. Not expecting perfection, thank goodness the lady offered me some ranch, had to use on my sandwich for a little flavor. A little side of mac n cheese that was enough for 3 bites. No jelly with the biscuits. Spent $13 and got a small drink on a 90 degree day. Gee,thanks for the hospitality. Went to use the bathroom, some dude taking a dump, says lock is broke. The only thing keeping me from a one star is the people working there were somewhat nice, but could tell they didn’t want to be there. Can’t blame them I guess. Maybe just a bad day, because I had been there once before and it was a little better.

This place has amazing food. Everyone there is friendly and accommodating. My favorite was the sample of complimentary peach jam for my biscuit. I actually bought a jar to take home to Michigan. The taste reminded me of peach cobbler. Also, the sweet tea was fresh brewed and the best I have ever had. That is just a couple of some great Southern food choices.

It’s a rare day to stumble upon such an amazing hidden treasure in what some would consider a seemingly ordinary, dinghy gas station.
