Main Street, Biscuit King in Lexington, NC, is a restaurant thriving on providing this exact experience. Visitors and residents of Davidson County absolutely must try this restaurant’s famous homemade biscuits! Through the years, Biscuit King has grown in just about every way possible. A little over 20 years ago, the restaurant was a quaint room that seated 20 patrons, with just five employees running the show. That little yellow building has now blossomed into four restaurants, seating 100 people each. Now with a double drive-thru window, they only intend to continue their growth.

The bacon, cheese , was good but the fried chicken I was suppose to get on it was grilled and thin. The “spicy” chicken sandwich my younger brother ordered was smothered in Texas Pete hot sauce , very sloppy . not any real actual effort to make it spicy just a plain patty with too much sauce . I also ordered a crispy chicken sandwich that came grilled after having my order read back to me …There’s a lack of culinary experience for something as simple as a chicken sandwich . I normally love this place, the biscuits are amazing…BUT for an establishment that has been a staple for so many years in this town, today was disgusting!! The hashbrowns were overcooked, yet my bacon was raw on my bacon,egg,cheese biscuit. When I called to speak with the manager, she did not care in the least that they served raw pork. I always eat at Biscuit King. I order the same thing grilled hot dog shredded cheese chili with my slaw. They gave me sliced cheese. Took it back they gave me back the same hot dog thst was broken off. That was not acceptable. Pulled the cheese out the bun and slapped some shredded cheese. Very unsanitary that was it for me.

Used to love this place but the food has gone way downhill, ordered a grilled chicken biscuit the other morning and got all the way home and opened it up ready to enjoy and boom, it’s a sandwich and it’s not a nice sandwich either. Had to drive all the way back up there, and wait for almost 20 mins to get my grilled chicken biscuit I paid for. Went back yesterday morning to get another grilled chicken biscuit along with my fathers biscuits and the biscuits were raw and doughy in the middle and we both couldn’t stomach to eat a raw slimy wet biscuit.

It was nice to have another option for breakfast after breakfast hours. Biscuit was a large portion so you definitely get your money’s worth. Only downfall the Biscuit was a Lil more bread like than fluffy. Eggs, gravy and Hashbrown were yummy. Staff at drive thru very very friendly. I did go inside to use restroom. Bathrooms and dining area were neat & clean. Lots of seating area.
