The name is confusing but the food is good. We spent a long weekend in Dahlonega for Six Gap, a bike event and were having trouble finding vegetarian options. We found Dawson Lake and decided to give it a try. Very nice owner and service, food was good but not great….but we’ve access to excellent Indian food at home. We think with time, and enough people willing to give them a chance they can probably turn this into a very charming establishment despite the confusing property. We enjoyed the outside seating on a nice evening; unfortunately we were the only party and there were just two of us. When we’re back in the area, we’ll dine here again and we recommend you at least try them once if you like or have wanted to try Indian.

I enjoyed the food very much. We had the Manchurian paneer, lentil rice, and some pakora. Great flavours. The atmosphere inside and out has so much potential.
Would be nice to get some fresh cold drinks and nibbles for the hot days to enjoy outside before main dishes inside in the cooler air. Sai and everyone made me feel very welcome. Thanks! I’ll be back.

The ambiance was great, making it a perfect spot for outdoor events or parties. They had traditional Indian dhaba-style seating. However, the menu was quite limited, and they didn’t have any biryani on the day of our visit. We ordered some vegetarian starters and egg fried rice, but the food was not good. Upon checking, we understood that their head chef was on leave, and they were planning to introduce a better menu the following week.

Restaurant is a total scam. The ambience is old and dirty, and the AC is only for show. Service was pathetic; the waiters are simply not bothering to look at you. Waited 40 minutes for the Tandoori Chicken which was cold, dry, and over-spiced to hide the staleness. The Biryani was a greasy, oily mess, smelling of old kitchen oil. Total waste of good money. Don’t go, yaar.

One of the best event spaces in and around the area, the food is top notch with amazing music and outdoor experience. The lake and lights at night take the event experience to the next level with an amazing host(Dawson lake gardens) there isn’t a lot to stop the flow of excitement.

My wife and I just tried Biryani World On the Lake for the first time. We love this place! I’ve not had better Indian food anywhere. Sitting out by the lake on this large open piece of property, with fantastic weather, made for an epic dinning experience. The waiter/host was informative, helpful, and provided service that matched his fun, caring personality. We live in Dahlonega and have a short list of top notch restaurants we frequent. Biryani World On the Lake is now on it.

Amazing experience here. We were driving by and decided to stop in. 10 out of 10 experience. The food is fresh and delicious. They had a buffet on Saturday when we went and we kept going back for more food. Can’t wait to visit again!

The food here is absolutely delicious, and the portions are so generous that you’ll have plenty to take home for another meal. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering how much you get. The restaurant is spotless and beautifully decorated, and the outdoor area is just as inviting, gorgeous yard, lake views, and plenty of seating. Truly a hidden gem that I would recommend to anyone!
