Mmm their food is really good. I’m glad Pocatello has many good Mexican restaurants. This is one I highly recommend. Their menudo is also good. Same with their burritos. I love how they have a salsa bar. The staff is really friendly. Aguas frescas are great to pair it with food! Go try it out for yourself

Since Rolberto’s stopped being open 24 hours, there has been a lack of good food past midnight in Pocatello. But Birrieria is now filling that all-night niche with even better food than most Mexican places in town. The salsa bar has delicious sauces in a variety of flavors, and they don’t charge for it. They have 6 flavors of Aguas Frescas and refills are free.
They have delicious meats (the best birria in town and the only place with trompo) and fantastic presentation. All in all, Birrieria is my new favorite place to eat in Poky!

The food and the environment was so nice. I got the chile verde burrito it’s a pretty good size you definitely get what you pay for I also got a champurrado:)the staff was very friendly the whole place just feels welcoming and I will definitely be coming back soon

The smell inside the restaurant was not appetizing. It was like a moldy smell. Not good. The food was not good. Barely edible. The caldo de res was not good. It had a weird consistency that was not at all authentic and hardly any meat in it. I don’t want to be rude. But this place was really disappointing.

This is the best taco shop in poky .
Let me explain .
I’m from San Diego and have eaten at Taco shops all over Mexico , and all over southern California.
This is as close to a Taco Shop on the border as you can get .
Meats are proper cuts cooked in the correct traditional style .
Salsas have flavor and aren’t watered down .
Salsa Bar is always a good sign , pickled onions and spicy carrots point to a winner.
Tortillas taste homemade, and the crema is fresh !
Now let’s get to the Agua Frescas…
They are your classic selection , and typical style / quality .
Very good though.
Most importantly everything tastes fresh .
Fresh tomatillo , tomatoes , onions , cilantro you can absolutely tell .
Several shops in town let the carne sit in a pot of liquid and even boil it to cook .
NOT HERE .
I cannot stress enough how great of a shop this is , and I love we’re ball going to have to learn the names of what we want in Spanish !
Please keep this place around it’s a little on the pricey side for pokey but well worth it .
