Tucked away in the Ray’s Liquor parking lot, directly across from Tacos El Paisa and Burger King, lies this little taco stand. Unimposing at 1st glance, this is a true gem! The 5 taco special for $6 is what caught my eye, along with $2.50 Birria tacos. I waited to do the review until I could do 80% of the available meat choices. 1st… the meats are all tender and well seasoned, and the condiments were pleasant, but I found that it was “Hit or miss” on the shells being cooked or raw. Plus, this is a rare stand that can ACTUALLY provide mild/medium/spicy options. The Birria was, however, worth the time and money and I’ll definitely go back for more of that! If I have to rate the meats, I would go: #1 Birria, #2 chicken, #3 carne asada, #4 carnitas, #4 al pastor. The shrimp are my next option. YOUR option would be to just try this place.

Greatest tacos and Birria, there is an all of Butte County maybe in the whole entire North state!! I purposely stopped at random taco trucks and taco places to find the best of the best! And here if I could give them 10 stars, I would the manager it was immediately cool when I walked in. I suggested the Queabria tacos. And the ramen!! And I will forever be a top notch fan of this place!! I live 35 minutes away. I’m gonna drive here twice a week now.

I’ve been here at least 20 times and always got great service and tacos. until today. I ordered six tacos and waited over 30 minutes while people who came in 15 minutes after me were served first. When I politely reminded the chef, he snapped, said I had an “attitude,” and told me to take it outside. Jet trying to fight me. Completely unnecessary. I just left. No refund or tacos. The guy even had a tear drop tattoo and looked obviously high-which I wouldn’t normally care about, but it makes you wonder how often food gets messed with just because someone rubs them the wrong way. I’m just a regular 20-year-old trying to get some tacos, not start a fight. Super disappointing to see the place fall off after so many good experiences. And the dude had the nerve after to walk up to my car window and then tell me to not come back while slurring his words, as if I ever would bother.

They literally told me that they were done with napkins for the night. Not out of napkins, but done giving them to customers. This is Mexican food it’s super messy and I can’t get some napkins after I eat my meal that I paid for? And that one employee has been known to yell profanity at customers! Don’t let the good reviews fool you, they’re lying.

Ordered 3 spicy carnitas grande tacos, instead i got a singular, VERY mild chicken taco. Very disappointed especially because this was supposed to be for my mom for Mother’s Day and I’m honestly rlly pissed i got ripped off. Not coming back, waste of money and completely wrong food. Im just glad she isnt allergic to chicken and is eating it regardless.

Tried this place for the first and will not be returnng. Didnt feel welcomed. Waited over 30 minutes for our food which came out wrong. No salad bar, music was too loud, no chips offered. Was going to dine in but was told its only for take out. My roommate got sick.

I like this place but can you update your hours? You used to be open by 10AM but I’ve gone a few times between 10-11 and you weren’t open. Love the food and great service other than that!

I live less than a block away, and go here fairly often. I like that they are open late. The food is pretty good, not super consistent but keep in mind they just opened. I wish they kept the salsa bar better stocked, and maybe offered chips. I also think the menu could use some simplification.
Overall I think they could take the place of Tacos Mary if they really try. I also noticed the Google posting for this doesn’t show up very high on the list when I search “food near me” even though I’m 100ft from it.
Definitely needs some fine tuning, but I trust the owner Tony will make this place a Chico classic.

they are my favorite place in chico to go, not only because its a quick walk, bit because they always get my order right everytime and it is always fresh. i get exactly what i order every single time. they will always get ky money when i wanna go out for burritos. i’m a big back and spend like $30 for myself alone everytime, but it’s a lot of food. i live you guys and can’t wait to come back again
