The front lady was rude from the start. When I asked for the quesadilla plate, she told me it was plain cheese only. I then asked if it could be made as a carne asada quesadilla (which they sell separately on the menu), and she flat-out said no, with zero explanation or effort to help.
Food was mid at best, nothing worth dealing with the attitude and long wait times. Overall experience wasn’t good and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve noticed that they have 3 locations and all are very different. At this location, I tried the burrito birra with the salsa, and it was fire! Very friendly service and the seating area was clean. I like the flavor, it wasn’t salty or bland. Did I mention that the burrito was fire?! Bomb with the salsa.. Mmm will come again if I’m ever at the area of town.

The food was pretty good, but the weight was absolutely insane! It took them 45 minutes from the time stamped on my receipt to call my name for my order. This place is way too small inside to adequately support large numbers of people. It’s a cramped working area and you can see them struggling trying to keep up with orders. It wasn’t even very busy when I was here and it still took 45 minutes.

GIVE THIS PLACE A CHANCE. This is a very nice addition to the Block! Which just opened not long ago so come and check it out. I come here very often actually. This place is one of the best taco places around. Believe be, i know. I pride myself in my own food, and aspire to be a cook in my own restaurant! So i get disappointed when i go out and order and i feel like i couldve make it better. BUT THESE TACOS ARE ALMOST PERFECT. The flavor of the tacos and the consume is rich in Umami, an essential component in food. A staple like salt and pepper. And t

But Los Tacos Del Rey does them both very well! Someone complained that 15 Dollars was too much for a plate of tacos but trust me, they did you a favor. I would charge 20! But in this economy. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices, so on that note, i think they really pack their tacos, which isnt bad, it makes it worth the 15 dollars. Most food trucks would probably do 4 really whimpy tacos no cilantro or onion and charge you that much. But this even comes with a lime! What more can you ask. I will admit, the salsa is for seasoned chile connoisseurs but with a few tweaks that salsa is amazing. Its already flavorful!
And yeah, maybe they are a little stoic, but what do you expect. We are all having a tough time finding happiness in this world! Cut them some slack, you would feel like doodoo too after these bidenomics.
I have a hard time putting on a smile too. But theyre still there making it work and im proud of them. I really enjoy these tacos, and i actually recommend them to people anytime they mention a good food place. Because thats what you do with good food spots. You share them and thats what im doing now. And yes you might get the runs if you dont regularly eat food like this. Its spicy, flavorful, and has a lot of spices. So yes you might get an upset stomach if youre eating a lot of bland foods and hey, i wont judge you because it could be comfort food or whatever the case. Maybe you think spices are bad for you but trust me. Integrating a wide variety of spices into your diet will actually help your wellbeing. Just dont eat out too much and watch your health. But you wanna go out have a delicious, maybe a little unhealthy food then come to The Block. It will be worth it i promise. Its a nice environment. And i bet if we could all stop being strangers with eachother, it would be a really nice hangout spot.

I been to this location 3 times. The first day was impressive cashier friendly fresh food it was great. Last 2 times once at night and today 10/17 same girl she is absolutely rude. My night time experience with her was a las 9:15 cierra todo telling another girl while I was in line. I didn’t say nothing because she did end up taking my order. I was missing my sour cream but since they closed rolling door thing i couldnt get it. The blocks hours say they close at 10 so pm not sure why closing so early all the other establishments stayed open… today again 10/17/2024 around 3pm she was just rude she rolls her eyes while taking customers orders mine as well just stood there not even a hi or what can I get for you, I had to be like hello may I get 2 tacos of barbacoa and quesadilla she rang me up and walked away then when I got my tacos there was barely any meat. With cold tortillas. I def wish I can give this place another try but the cashier kind of is unwelcoming.

Came to check out the Block and wanted tacos, I will say the tacos were great, think Tap and Taco. However, the cashier was SUPER RUDE and had attitude for no reason, I brushed it off as nothing, so I didn’t make a big deal of it and would have let it go, until they skipped our order and I had to go up and ask about it, only for her to be even ruder and ask us what we ordered, I mean you just took our order recently, how do you forget so quickly, they weren’t that busy at all. She didn’t even offer us our drinks as we waited both times, I had to ask for them when I realized she was giving them to people when they ordered. all in all, not a great experience.
