Been coming here for years. Ordered via Ubereats vegan birria tacos and they ticketed the wrong bag and sent me goat pizza. Young lady was nice at first but tried to blame ubereats but THEY put the wrong receipt on the bag. She apologized and said we can come back up there and get the correct order. I explained I lived over 30 minutes away with a newborn and that defeated the purpose of ordering and the tip I paid someone to deliver. She told me I had to go through ubereats. Asked if I reordered and had to pay for a tip AGAIN, could they at least provide an order of egg rolls for the inconvenience. She initially said yes but said the manager who supposedly wasnt there said no. I explained unacceptable and needed to speak to her “manager” she immediately got defensive. I asked for the managers contact or for her to have them call me she said “im here alone and dont have time for this”. Asked for her name and she hung up the phone. MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO CALL ME THIS WAS HANDLED POORLY. WONT BE RETURNING IN THIS LIFETIME! disgusted with how I was treated!
Response to owner: Yes, the order was refunded however I paid ubereats “taxes and fees” and a $15 tip fo the driver which were not refunded PLUS waited 45 minutes for an order that YOU ALL incorrectly bagged. As I explained to the rude employee, I was willing to reorder through the app and simply asked could an item be included because YOUR MISTAKE as again…I’d been paying additional taxes, fees, and another tip. I just had a baby so if driving over an hour round trip were an option I would’ve done so to begin with. Unfortunately you seem to think how she treated me was ok. You refused to get on the phone so I guess she was being honest YOU dont care about your customers. You just lost a loyal one because this response solidified I WILL NOT BE RETURNING!

A long low slung blackish-Grey building is inconspicuous in its anonymity. The doors advertize the birria el Gordo… with the hours. Food available unless they run out.
Walk to the counter and order. Got the watermelon fruit drink. So refreshing on a summer day. And 2 birria tacos. One goat and one beef

The dipping sauce was spectacular… the goat had a bold flavor with a deep flavor. Dipping the taco in the sauce created an umami

Food was good. Not my fav birria, but I’ll most likely be back. Menu was pretty vast, with many choices. Service was exceptional. The friendly lady walked me through half of the menu, and for that I am thankful.

OMGGGG what has happened to the food quality here? I’ve eaten here many many many times over the last three years and I’ve never had birria so dry in my life, it literally got caught in my throat. Also, the consommé was watered down. I could visibly see that it was watery. There was no flavor no salt, no garlic, no cilantro, just a cup of hot, reddish, looking water and disgusting.

I was so happy that my coworker recommended this place to me. I don’t eat meat and they have jackfruit birria tacos. 10 out 10 for me. I really enjoyed the meal. Made fresh to order with fresh ingredients. And the crunchy shrimp tacos are a hit as well. The price per taco is worth it. I thank them for including us non meat eaters.

This might have been the best lunch I’ve ever ordered via Uber Eats. Everything was perfect. Great food, plenty of it, and great prices. My new fave spot
Update: ordered today for pickup. Tacos and chips were stale. Just wasn’t the same quality of food that was delivered before. Maybe I’ll try again in a while in hopes that they make improvements

Wanted SO badly to love these birria, but to have Wet Tacos in San Diego and now searching for great birria here, is quite difficult. We liked that there wasn’t much fat in the beef. Even what pix were online, looked nothing like what we received. These tasted like a decent shredded beef taco, nothing more. So sorry
