They have indoor and outdoor seating, and a large room upstairs with comfortable seating and a great view. The upstairs room is available for private functions as it has plenty of seating, a bar, and two bathrooms.
When we figure out how we can live in Estes Park, we’ll be regulars at Bird’s Nest.
Try this place if you haven’t already. You’ll be glad you did.
And the natural light in this shop! Like wow!! It’s beautiful
Parking is maybe 15 spots and it was full when we got here. We parked next door and walked over.
Atmosphere is very cool inside. Lots of natural light and wood, as you might expect for the area.
Team was friendly, helpful, and service was pretty fast. We got a golden milk latte, peach pie latte, fig pizza, and a veggie wrap.
Coffee was smooth with good flavor, definitely enjoyed both drinks. Pizza was really excellent. Great mixture of flavors on a perfect thin crust. Veggie wrap surprised me and was also excellent.
Overall, no complaints. This was a great stop and we will be back!
Our food, however was extremely disappointing. At $16 and $19, I was hoping for a little more flavor if not portion. These both tasted like they were thrown together hastily.
I wouldn’t get the sandwich here next time.
I am one who enjoys coffee that is roasted in small batches and not over done with milk and sugar. This establishment feels like a ritzier Starbucks. I ordered a cappuccino and unfortunately the first red flag that I saw was the size options for cappuccino’s (typically, they come in a single size at my usual places I visit).
After drinking it, the cappuccino, unfortunately has the milk ratios of a latte. My wife ordered a golden milk latte which they did a stand up job with! Very well seasoned and they were able to work around her milk allergy! However, it is very disappointing when an establishment spends over $5k on an espresso machine and can’t make a decent cup of coffee but is able to capitalize on everything else.
The establishment itself has a beautiful view. Quiet, modern, and calm atmosphere. If you prefer a drop of coffee with your milk this is the place for you if you are a fellow coffee snob. Stick to the pizza.
