Oh man we had such a great experience here tonight. Our server Leo was phenomenal and made some great recommendations for us and was just overall super fun. They have great options for vegans and vegetarians which I really appreciate. I had the tofu yum bun and the garlic miso tofu ramen and it was delicious. The tofu bun was so good! I could have had several of those. Definitely recommend!

Just tried Birdman Ramen for the first time and let me just start off with Jonathon was AMAZING! Can seriously be in fine dining. Already recommended him to all of my friends. As far as the food, I have been to Ramen San frequently and so sad I have not ried this place sooner! Amazing food, AMAZING service, 12/10!!!!!!

Birdman Ramen in downtown Chicago was the perfect cozy stop on a cold day. From the moment we sat down, our server Jonathan truly elevated the experience—he was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations and checking in just the right amount.
We started with the gyoza and edamame, and both were absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. The duck ramen was the highlight of the night: rich, comforting, and full of depth. It felt like pure warmth in a bowl, exactly what you want when it’s cold outside.
We ended the evening with mochi, which was the perfect sweet finish to an already fantastic meal. Amazing food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere—Birdman Ramen is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back.

This place was super cute! We came here because we saw the TikTok video of Mimi trying food here and had to come try it. The ramen was the best I’ve ever had. The crispy oysters paired so good with the sauce they had and the Takoyaki was very creamy and savory. The customer service was top notch, we had Jonathan as a server and he did an amazing job!

This was an amazing place to find. Service was great, the food hit the spot and our server Leo made us feel right at home. Definitely gotta come back here and you should check it out for yourself. The Hokkaido Garlic Miso was fantastic (got mine spicy). The appetizers were all great but the Shrimp and Pork Gyoza(get it boiled) just hit the spot. So much so that we got a second order right after the first was finished. Finished off with a house made slice of cheesecake and we were done. Overall great experience, food, service and prices. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want some great ramen.

Delicious! I had the vegetarian garlic miso ramen and the broth was rich, not thin and bland like many places. My partner had the gold level szechuan ramen and really enjoyed it too! Out server Leo was delightful. So friendly and attentive.

This joint reminded me of this ramen place I went to in Spain, it is overly decorated with Japanese manga and other Japanese culture themes, they even threw in a little Korean theme in there. It is like walking into an Otaku joint in Akihabara but worse. I wish they actually serve those dishes in the wooden plaques.
We came to try the ramen and see what the chicken broth is all about. Again I am a traditionalist and I love tonkstsu broth with miso, some of the ramen joints in Japan also add a bit of chicken broth in the mix to enhance the sweetness of the broth but not quite all chicken.
The broth here is literally tasted like chicken broth adding whatever flavor combination to it, soy sauce, garlic miso, etc. The base broth lacks depth and mediocre at best, to plain. The noodles are ok, the duck breasts were good, cooked to the right temp, but the wood ear slices were cut way too big.
Now the basic appetizers, agedashi tofu, the potato starch breading was under fried, there goes the “age” part of the dish, it is just gooey, the”dashi” part of the dish is ok, the taste is very light. The Takoyaki was just ok, I barely noticed any octopus in the balls, the batter didn’t taste a whole lot like octopus either.
Overall, nothing memorable here, but the prices are reasonable.

The Ramen was AMAZING! It was hot, flavorful, and hit the spot. We also got the boiled chicken gyoza. Really good.
The atmosphere is welcoming, and spacious. The service was prompt, and courteous. Ask for Leo – so friendly. He had great recommendations and checked on us frequently. You will not be disappointed .

Birdman Ramen was delicious! We are apparently the first Trini’s to patronize the restaurant and it was well worth it. From their chicken karaage buns to the ramen, it was amazing and perfect for the cold weather! Our server gave us recommendations and tips for our trip. Definitely stop by!
