Had a terrific first experience at Birdie’s. The restaurant is large, has an outdoor patio with plenty of seating and tables as well as fire pits. Service was friendly and the food and drinks were amazing. Generous portions and reasonable prices. Will definitely be back when there’s warmer weather to try out the late night happy hour on the patio.

Let me start with the positives: They have a good sized space, with a fun patio. The colors are bright and inviting. We went during brunch. The mimosas were a good deal. My only critic is that my chicken and waffles tacos were fun in theory, but only okay in reality. It was under seasoned (for my tastes. That doesn’t mean that’s true for everyone). Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I’ll have to try something else on the menu next time. I enjoyed my time there, but wasn’t wowed. I definitely think it’s worth a visit, if you love patios.

Went for dinner, walking in, the outside patio looked really cool and I saw people enjoying the weather. I went on a weekday, but can definitely see this play packed on a weekend. I started with the Sauvignon Blanc slushi. Most place will the the frozen rose so it was interesting take on that and it was really good.

For starters I got the elot mini corn dog. It was ok, but for some reason I thought they would encorpate the corn into the breading or meat, but the corn was sprinkled on the plate w/ elote sauce drizzled on top.

I had the chicken Caesar wrap. On the menu it mentioned it has alot of parmesan cheese and they were not lying, it had a lot of parmesan cheese which I loved. The wrap itself was good; there was chicken in every bite, in mine it didn’t seems like there were a lot of croutons, they had the right amount of Caesar dressing for normal people, but for big backs you’ll probably want to get a little more or on the side. The waffle fries were well seasoned and had a good breading and crisp.

Ended with the upside down pineapple cake and it was probably one of the best I’ve had. The Carmel drizzle, pineapples and macadamia nuts really added o flavor. Honestly it they had forgotten the pineapple it still would have awesome, that’s how good it was. They also manage to crisp the edges which I don’t know why, but it added a lot and put it on the next level for me.
Good place to go with friends, dates or solo. Awesome place and good food!

I’d heard great things about Birdies and tried it on President’s Day at Happy Hour time. Decided to get a house marg and loaded fries, both were good and on the Happy Hour deals. Enjoyed the patio seating, and can tell everyone with their dogs and kids enjoys coming here for the patio too. I would’ve liked to have tried an entree like that chicken Caesar wrap I’ve heard is so great, but I filled up on my appetizer! Next time.

We had a girls night out here last night, and everything was absolutely perfect. The party room and back patio were amazing and decorated beautiful. The holiday decorations were so pretty. The food and drinks were delicious. Our waitress Chloe was phenomenal. She went above and beyond and made the whole evening run smoothly. We host this ladies night out every December and I was very nervous about having to switch locations this year. Birdies and the staff completely exceeded our exceptions. We truly had the most amazing evening. Highly recommended !!!!!!!!

Birdie’s is a terrific neighborhood spot, and its especially great for families with children. It has a great patio, and the service is always excellent. We also just had our daughter’s first birthday party there, and they took great care of us. We reserved the indoor cocktail lounge and had about 20 adults and ten kids. The Birdie’s staff took excellent care of us, and they always do each time we go. We go there pretty regularly, and its a great place for both adults and kids. It’s one of the few places in the East Dallas area that has a great atmosphere for adults to hang out while the kids play. It also has great food and a full bar.

First: Thank you to Jill for being a patient, efficient and kind host today. 🙂

We were a party of 8, and reserved space in advance for Sunday brunch (I am so glad I did, because it is HOPPING on Sunday at brunch time!). It was my first time at Birdie’s Eastside, and I will be back.

-We arrived about 20 minutes before our reservation time, and the staff quickly and kindly accommodated us.

-Jill, who hosted our table, was patient with us as we tried to conjure up pancakes out of nowhere (there are no pancakes on the menu, but we asked anyway). It can be a real pain to deal with 8 indecisive individuals, but Jill only got more kind as the meal unfolded. She was a gift.

-We sampled the double smash burger (my sons and husband heartily enjoyed), steak and eggs (I really appreciated a small and larger option for steak. The steak was tender, the arugula–which I usually don’t love–and pickled onions was dressed with something sweet and addictive and I INHALED it, and the potatoes were perfectly crisp and pillowy on the inside. The eggs were eggs), shrimp and grits (the shrimp looked succulent!), soup and BLT (perfect for the peckish), and avocado toast (verdant!). Bonus: It’s my birthday and Jill generously gave our table a warm, gooey brownie with melted marshmallow, strewn with graham cracker crumbles. Rich and delish.

I wish I took photos of the food but we inhaled it, alas.
