We had a wonderful experience tonight. We arrived about 5:00p so relatively early, it was very quiet still and got a nice window seat overlooking the golf course. The staff was very friendly and on top of everything. We got our food very quickly and it was, hot, tasty and there was quite a bit of it!! We will definitely go back.

Atmosphere is superb! Beautiful views. Lovely fireplace giving off warmth as we head into the colder months. Attentive service with good conversation. Come on down and stay a while you won’t be disappointed.

Florence has some great foodie spots, mostly huddled around her iconic bridge and bustling “Old Town”. This restaurant is the towns true hidden gem. The ingredient quality is truly excellent and it’s expertly prepared. I’m partial to the vegetarian portabella burger even though I’m a certified carnivore because it’s just. So. Damn. Good. Their fries are prepared with rice flour leaving them nice and crispy but not oily or heavy, their chicken parmesan comes with a mouthwatering fried chicken breast so big it almost eclipses the noodles underneath. There is a main dining area and a separate room for the bar with a handful of small two seater tables. both rooms have glass paneled walls facing the golf course and gorgeous scenery beyond. If that wasn’t enough to convince you to investigate this treasure I’ve got one last note… This place is quiet. I’d bet when there are tournaments or games it fills up and gets a bit roucus but every time I go it’s been my table and maybe two others occupied. The servers I’ve had are good too, when you order something they’ll give you notes about the food if anything is different from a classic preparation- which can make or break someone’s first experience at a restaurant in my opinion. They have booths (that can seat up to probably 8 if you squeeze together, 6 comfortably.) and plenty of 2 & 4 top tables. What are you still doing here? If you’ve read this far in my review you’ve got to be picking up what I’m putting down, now get over there.

This place is still new to us but recent visits have been enjoyable, with all table seating affording views of the golf course and pond, quiet surroundings where you can actually carry on a conversation that can be heard, and a menu that has a lot going for it. Add to that a decent wine selection where the bartender offered up a Washington riesling I was particularly fond of – wow! We plan to return again soon.

Food and preparation are good , slow and I do mean slow but the food is well prepared and quite nice. The four times we have eaten at the restaurant both servers have been kind , personable and informative of the slow preparation due to back ups in the kitchen . We didn’t mind waiting as we are locals and the restaurant does have a nice view and comfortable seating . I give 5 stars for food and service to the food servers . Bartender brings the atmosphere down to a 1 but only because there is not a 0 on the rating . He speaks down to the servers and then tries to joke his way out of it . He forgot a 4 person drink order and told the server “ just tell them I got busy” . If you sit at the bar you are privy to his unwelcome comments to customers and the help,

An extra star for the view and environment but since they let go of the Chef who designed the whole menu and got the place running they are just using a line cook to copy everything from the original chef. Certainly no way to run a business and they place has gone downhill ever since. Highly recommend to stay away unless you want to get food sick and or wait 1 hour for a rotten burger.

Super disappointed. I was just there and ordered fish and chips to go. The server said she put all the condiments in. She had been very engaging. But alas. All I got was fish and chips and ketchup. No Coleslaw. No tarter sauce. I only went there as a remembrance to my departed husband of many years ago. I wanted to enjoy them watching the ocean. And I really was hungry for fish and chips with ALL the fixings.

We absolutely love Birdies and Bogey’s and are very grateful to have another great restaurant to go to in Florence/Heceta Beach! We have enjoyed many lunches there over the past few months, and went there for dinner for the second time last night. Both the lunch and dinner options have all been great, and are definitely reasonably priced for a venue that offers really good food, a great view, and wonderful service. I huge shout out to Gabby for her excellent service on multiple visits where she has been our server. She is a very hard worker, a great server, and really friendly! Brent, the manager, is a great manager, and besides being extremely friendly and welcoming, is a very hands-on manager, jumping in wherever he is needed.

There were six of us. Three meals were acceptable and three were not.
Patti melt meat half of what it used to be and bread was burned. Onion rings not edible.
Fish & chips: said tempera but it was not. Very heavy batter was soggy. Onion rings were horrible. They used to be delicious!
Hamburger was overcooked and very dry.
The “Rachel” special w/pastrami was great!
Two French dips were okay but needed carmelized onions & Swiss cheese.

The person frying their fish and chips really knows their stuff. Perfectly fried, well seasoned, and the staff were all kind and helpful. Best of all – you don’t need to be a golf club member to enjoy this tasty stop. We will definitely be back for more!
