This place is an amazing find! Don’t miss it. We had a superb lunch carefully crafted with top ingredients, excellent flavors, and homemade bread. I had the Indian chicken salad sandwich, and it was both filling and light. We also got tastes of the tomato bisque and the squash soup, both of which were delicious. We also bought the soup and a loaf of sourdough to go. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The place is colorful and cozy, the perfect stop after outdoor adventures!

Very high quality ingredients used, by far the best tasting food I’ve found in the area. Turkey sandwich is delicious, the focaccia is so soft and fresh and not too oily, the apple jam cake was incredibly good tasting. People there are super nice as well. I highly recommend!

I wish I took pictures. My husband and I stumbled upon it. He had a pork loin sandwich and I had a bowl of tomato soup. with focaccia. It was delicious. Everything is house made and fresh ingredients. It seems the menu changes daily or weekly. Cute atmosphere too. Highly recommend

My wife and I were up in the White Mountains visiting from the Lakes Region and found this little gem! The owners were a delight and the cafe was adorable. We loved the meatloaf sandwich and sweet tea. Perfect little snack before heading home! Then as we were leaving, I found the carrot cake and got a slice for the road. Well, it didn’t make it far. I’m sitting on the side of the street and Gorham now typing this review and eating this amazing cake. I’ve eaten a lot of carrot cake and this is the best I’ve ever had, absolute perfection. Keep up the great work and we’ll make sure we swing in when we are in the area again!

Delicious food served by the friendliest staff in a cozy, well-cared for building. We got two soups, a sandwich, and focaccia for lunch and it was so tasty and filling! Ended up taking leftovers to go. Highly recommend and will be back if we’re in the area again.

Amazing spot, family owned, food was some of the best on our trip so far. Go and make a friend, and eat some great food. If you’re in a rush, may not be your spot, but if not I’d visit again and again trying different things each time.

My husband and I love Gorham. We recently heard about Birdies opening and have stopped both times that we had been up recently…absolutely delicious!! I wish we lived closer than 2.5 hours!! We LOVE the cremini mushroom fettuccine and the toffee chocolate chip cookies (we loved everything we have tried but those were stand out favorites). We left with a zataar focaccia, 3 bags of cookies and 2 prepared meals to go home with and already wish we left with more. One of their prepared meals feeds my husband and I both. We hope to be able to sit down inside and enjoy dinner in our future visits to Gorham as it’s tastefully decorated inside and the service is lovely. I also regret not ordering the pork katsu sandwich to go as that was a childhood favorite meal of mine…basically whatever you get will be delicious and it’s a must try in Gorham. Worth every penny and already looking forward to our next visit!

Great place to stop in for lunch and baked goods. We tried the Ham & Fontina and Tuscan Grilled Cheese sandwiches – both were fantastic! Large portions and high quality bread / fillings. Also tried a cookie (I believe it was toffee chocolate chip) and would highly recommend.

Passing through the area and found this amazing place for a quick bite to eat. Easily one of the best sandwiches we’ve eaten. Highly recommend the focaccia bread and a homemade dessert! The atmosphere was inviting and staff are extremely friendly too.

The perfect lunch spot after a morning hike. I ordered the turkey sandwich and apple jam cake, both of which were phenomenal. The cake was seriously one of the best cakes I’ve ever eaten. It had the right ratio of jam filling to frosting with the oat crumble on top adding a nice crunch for texture. The sandwich came on a soft and airy focaccia roll and they did not skimp on the carved turkey! Everything was so good that I bought two cookies on my way out – pumpkin chocolate chip and oat chocolate chip. Both were soft and chewy and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. The cafe itself is located in a former bank and they kept a lot of the detailing, including the vault door, so I highly recommend eating in the cafe if you have time. Birdie’s is a must visit when in the area.
