My boyfriend and I are obsessed with this place!!! I got him into it and now we come multiple times a month. Its so much better than Daves Hot Chicken. The chicken is so juicy and flavorful. We love to get the medium level spice, it’s the perfect level! He always gets the hot honey sandwich and I get the tenders. We always get a side of extra pickles. I love their shake mac and cheese. It’s so good! Their dirty sodas are also really good, my boyfriend loves the Southern Cherry Coke. The place is always clean and the employees are always pleasant, especially the girl who’s painted on the wall! She’s amazing. This place is pretty pricey though. It’s definitely worth the money in my opinion!! We love this place!

My husband is always searching for the next best hot chicken sandwich, so naturally we had to visit BIRDCODE and see what it was all about! We had heard great things, and we definitely thought they lived up to the hype. While their hottest level couldn’t break Colten’s spice tolerance (and the mild was borderline taking me out, but in a good way), we both agreed that BIRDCODE had the most flavorful chicken out of the similar spots we’ve been to. You could really tell everything was made from scratch. I loved their mac and cheese, and the chicken was high quality. The whole staff was friendly, and the restaurant was very clean. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!

Ate here for takeout and dine-in. Ordered the same thing twice. Plenty of spice for mild seasoning of chicken. Seasoned fries with their sauce are worth trying. Coleslaw complements chicken sandwich. Great food and atmosphere. Plenty of space for parking and dine-in. I will be there again next month.

First time for us to eat at Birdcode and it did not disappoint. We received a full explanation at the counter when we went to order. Everything is customizable and I ended up getting the medium spice level for my tenders, while my son got the mild spice level for his sandwich. Both were spot on for us. The medium was right on the line of being hot and still enjoyable and if I went hotter it probably would’ve pushed it over the limit. You can order single tenders which is cool and I might order one in their Code Breaker spice level next time to see what it is like. Shake fries are great and they were cooked perfectly. Shake mac & cheese was also great. We both got vanilla milkshakes as well. The Sando is a great sandwich with tons of flavor. The guy that working there came over to talk to us and gave us the history of the place and was a great conversation. Very nice guy. Made it very enjoyable. Would absolutely go back.

I was really disappointed with my order. The chicken was overly oily and clearly burnt, which ruined the flavor. The bun was also toasted way too much. The vinegar slaw both looked and tasted bad — soggy, overly sour, and not fresh. Overall, the quality was far below expectations and I wouldn’t order again. Waste of money and time.

I had such high hopes for this location but after 12 visits, 9 were bad. It’s unbelievable how inconsistent this location is. From the mac and cheese being so salty we had to throw it out or like today, it was so over cooked it was like eating baby food. The cookies dont take the same, you would think they would use the same recipe. The tenders are either a mixture of perfect and a few that have not seen the brine and tasteless , mostly the latter. Today, we had to take back the fries has they were oily and burnt which is a combination I didn’t think was possible. I’ve given this location too many changes. I will drive to West Hartford where the food is 100% better and consistent. If this was the first Birdcode location that I tried, I wouldn’t go back but because I know what the food should taste like, I went back hoping things would improve, I have officially given up on this location.
If you want good food and not to waste your money, especially in this economy, go to the West Hartford location. Trust me, its worth the drive.

Our first stop here, this was opening day, June 27, 2025. I ordered the chicken tenders and I will tell you they’re hot. I’m used to Hooters 911 flavor, but this is definitely hotter than that. Did not try codebreaker which is the hottest, at this point, don’t think I’m ready and will probably stick to medium The chicken tenders were very hot and the heat of the spices definitely brings it. The chicken was very moist and tender, fresh.., fries were good and the dipping sauce was good as well. Certainly will be visiting this place again.

Do NOT go to BIRDCODE if you want good chicken. For nearly $20 you’ll receive a 3 pc combo that will contain rubbery chicken, a piece of bread from the loaf in the back, and a small portion of fries with seasoning just to give this bland meal some type of flavor. The food is severely overpriced for the quality you get. Please do yourself a favor and don’t come here unless you’re ready to waste money on food you’ll never want again, or if you want thoroughly cooked chicken that’s not rubber. It was terrible and quite frankly gross resulting in a ruined appetite. After the manger begged and pleaded for us to not make a negative review that could possibly ruin business in her establishment, i was given a 25$ gift card that I don’t even intend on using due to how bad my first experience was.
