Everything about this place is so welcoming and beautiful! The owner is an absolute sweetheart and really wants to create the best experience for his customers- it’s obvious from the time you walk in.

There are real parrots near the patio, and they chit chatted while I enjoyed my brunch…too fun, and absolutely hilarious.

My toasted parmesan cream cheese bagel (photos below), warm chocolate chip muffin, and hot vanilla latte was exactly what I needed to begin my day off.

They accept: credit cards, visa, and cash…I tipped the owner as well because this place is simply so great. Very, very affordable!!

I will be telling all my friends & family about my new favorite coffeehouse in Long Beach.

This is now my personal favorite spot to go for coffee, tea and a light lunch in downtown Long Beach! The food and drinks were perfection with very fresh and flavorful ingredients. A wonderful pickled jalapeño and carrot side was served with the sandwich. Just check out my photos. There is so much vintage stuff to see at Birdcage!! Light jazz playing inside, peaceful vibe, gorgeous/healthy plants, and the owner is really sweet and cool ️‍
I had the turkey sandwich and iced latte this time and look forward to going back to try more menu items. My friend enjoyed a wonderful iced tea and there was plenty sandwich for the two of us!

I’ve lived here for years, and I’m so glad I made a stop to the cute Birdcage today. They saved me from being hangry. Running ends during my lunch break, and only a few minutes to grab lunch. In less than 10 minutes, I had a delicious ham croissant sandwich. I appreciate that they used the little pics to keep my sandwich intact. And, within 3 minutes, I had a refreshing Iced Pomegranate drink in my hand. I’ll be returning to support this local spot.

this place used to serve food but now it’s had a sign up for over a month saying “sandwiches are no longer available”, which is the only food they actually made. everything else is just store bought or packaged. the coffee is good, albeit really expensive, if that’s all you care about, but every other food place around here is either out of business, or fast food, so it’s really disappointing to see that they’re not serving actual food anymore.
the sandwiches were expensive, but I would rather pay more money for real food than to just go to the burger king next door and get garbage food from there.

The best coffee shop! The caramel frappe is the best I have ever had. It was sweet but not a sugar bomb like some frappes are and still had a very nice expresso/coffee flavor. And the red eye coffee was a great strong coffee option! You cannot go wrong going here and everybody was so friendly.

Why did you use a restaurant? So at the thee, but since only a single person knows where I enjoyed standing in the queue for fifteen minutes, different experience small outlet worth the visit

Absolutely adorable coffee shop with light bites. There is WiFi and table space to work. There’s an open air feel with the door open on nice days and a covered outdoor patio with eclectic seating. Lots of great light from the front window. Cash only!
