We ordered a little bit of all the meat. Our favorite meat was the pulled pork as it had flavor. The turkey and brisket were almost indistinguishable in flavor. The sausages were decent. The BBQ sauce was really tasty and the spicy had a decent kick to it. We tried the Mac and cheese which was ok. We had the peach cobbler which was very good and very sweet. We had some onion rings which were quite delicious and crunchy. We ordered some fries and they were thick cut boys that were good, crunchy and hot. The price was not too bad for the spread of food we got. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Military discount is available. Plenty of seating indoor and some outdoor. Restroom was clean.

I have been here probably 10 times over the past 12 years. Every now and then, I get that “itch” for some BBQ food and give this place a try. Unfortunately, most of the items just do not hit the spot for me. Also, the price is very high.
FOOD:
As others have said, all of the shredded meats are really bland and dry. They depend heavily on the BBQ sauce for flavor. If you are fortunate enough to get the smoked chicken when it is fresh, it is actually really good. However, I have had other times where it was not fresh and was soooo dry. As for the sides, the Baked Beans are consistently really good. The Mac and Cheese is hit-or-miss. If it looks like my photo, get it. However, other times it is so watery like others have stated.
SERVICE:
The service is decent, nothing amazing but nothing bad. The staff have always been friendly.
ATMOSPHERE:
The atmosphere is fine. It is pretty spacious and the outdoor seating is okay, if the weather is nice. However, I have seen it get pretty dirty in there.
Overall, Bird Dog BBQ doesn’t quite hit the spot for me. It is too inconsistent and I only enjoy it when I get fresh chicken and good Mac. Combined with the high price, I cannot recommend it anymore.

I love this place! We crave this place a lot and it never disappoints. Their brisket and pulled pork is so delicious. My partner likes the extra hot sauce and has even bought a jar and he pours it on everything! The Mac n cheese and potato salad is amazing, and so is the fried okra. The apple crumble is soooo delish. Our family from out of town always requests this place when they visit. Their staff is incredibly friendly, we always leave the place so impressed with their customer service.

This place has the BEST bbq around! They catered our wedding last year and we still drive down from the Denver area to CO Springs to enjoy their delicious food. It is always consistent and we usually have leftovers because the portion sizes are huge. The turkey is always tender & juicy, the Mac & cheese and baked beans are incredible! You can’t go wrong ordering anything here!

Every once in a while I’ll crave BBQ and this place never disappoints. It’s pretty solid all around. I’ll give the ribs a 8/10! The mac & cheese and potato salad are my favorite sides. Customer service was good and the owner is a nice guy!

Very dry unseasoned pulled pork I have to take a drink every time I take a bite of it, plain unseasoned fries, okay Mac and cheese. The “Texas toast” is barely even toast just a small piece of white bread cut in half, maybe put on a grill for a second the spare ribs are okay, unseasoned but not dry!! I can’t talk about the service or atmosphere because my wife went in for us. I knew I was taking a chance on it because the reviews were mixed and im sad that I did take a chance.

THIS IS THE WORST BBQ SPOT IVE EVER HAD. Im not the kind of person that posts reviews but I feel as if I had to say something. Just spent $60 yesterday on ribs, chicken, pulled pork, chicken, hot links, brisket, and the sides. THE MOST SLIMY RIBS IVE EVER HAD. Like how can ribs be slimy and flavorless?! The chicken was very dry, the pulled pork was very dry, the brisket was very dry. But weird enough the hot links were barley cooked? I hope everyone reads this because any other bird dog location is good but FOUNTAIN location needs to be shut down for ruining the Bird Dog name. So a little word of advice.. Don’t waste your money here. Go anywhere but here! Thanks Bird Dog for now being trash like the rest of the restaurants here.

Ordered for Uber delivery half a chicken and one brownie the chicken was dry and the brownie was hard and stale. Very disappointing. Just the other day I went to bird dog barbecue on Centennial and Garden of the gods that chicken was very juicy and the brownie was soft and very fresh I don’t care how far I have to travel I will never order from bird dog in fountain.
