Great place for fish n chips not far from Deer island ferry. We ordered the 2 item meal to split between wife & I. Lightly breaded all items served piping hot. No idea how 1 person could eat a two piece. One 26cad plenty of food for 2. We Ordered haddock (2 filets) and scallops. Fresh & deliciously prepared. Shared bread pudding which was amazing. A butter scotch sauce & whipped cream.

Great, loved it. Fast friendly service and great fresh seafood. The fresh, as in never frozen, scallops, were outstanding!! Way better than you imagine. Great lobster rolls, great clamp strips, all good. Don’t miss this one.

Small town home cooking. Food is fresh, prepared like your Mom’s made. Service is great, they make you feel welcomed. Done up with tasteful Christmas decorations. Just feels good, when your there.

What a nice little gem this place was. Just out for a drive out of town, doing some sight seeing in St. George. We decided to stop for a bite to eat and stumbled upon Birch Grove.
They offer take out, dine-in and have a covered patio out back. I had a chowder and a one piece fish and chips which was absolutely delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by the prices and will definitely be going there again soon.
I hear the desserts are to die for, but was too full to even attempt it.
Make a pit-stop at Birch Grove, you won’t be disappointed!

Honestly, food was fantastic. We had the Turkey dinner (it was thanksgiving) and it did not disappoint! Saw some of the other dishes come out and they looked massive. There’s no way you’ll leave hungry. Service was quick and everyone was super lovely. Good selection of pies and baked goods although we were too full to try any.
Decor was exactly what one might expect for a small town diner!
