This place just got a new face lift and although it feels 90% done inside (see the ceiling panels they used, shows design of the product) the rest of this place is modern. The food is not my cup of tea but I went more for my wife to eat because she hasn’t had this since Vietnam. The taste she said is just like Vietnam which is a plus. The service was quick and attentive even when we sat all the way in the back. This is more of a party restaurant because it’s drinking food, so be prepared for it to be very loud.

***This is not an ordinary phò-place*** The menu mainly consists of goat dishes. The goat soup with vegetables (salad leaves) we had was rich, and flavorful. Note that the goat meat will be served on the bones.
The venue is dingy (the place has been open for more than 30 years) – and will relocate to a new address shortly.

Favorite Vietnamese drinking foods restaurant and this new location with cool friendly owner Thành. Parking is limited at peak time.

First time here and ordered the stewed goat and told the waiter I wanted #7 that was $18. Ended up charged me for the $29 goat hotpot and refused to let the waiter out to confirm. They wouldn’t admit that it was their fault.
Terrible attitude. Would’ve stayed there to confront if I wasn’t in a hurry. Won’t go again.

Overpriced and loud. It’s really only for guys who are into heavy Vietnamese-style drinking

This original place has ran in Downtown for many years and they have moved to Story Rd. recently! The area has more parking spaces than their previous area and is much better for people to eat in and hang out. My family and I always order to-go to take home for dinner. I am hoping to come to their new location soon!

It has been a while to come back to San Jose. Especially when I heard Binh Minh downtown recently moved to new venue in Story Road. I really enjoyed the new venue, more relax and what an excellent upgrade. Foods ( đồ nhậu) are still so good and new dishes were added to the menu. Still maintained the family friendly atmosphere. Anh Thành will always taken care of his customers. He was overwhelmed with how much support from the customers old and new. He said that he hope to keep improving in every dimension to make Binh Minh a place to go in San Jose. I’d always đi nhậu @ Binh Minh whenever I’m in San Jose. Dzo !

This hole in the wall may not appeal to everyone but I love it! Plenty of authentic Vietnamese specialty dishes and friendly staff. The duck blood dish is my favorite and I drove 60+ miles to enjoy it 🙂

This is a Vietnamese expat joint where males can bond over Vietnamese bar food and beer which is cheap, $3. There are two big screens playing sports. All guy customers on my visit. Very simple dishes requiring no cooking skill, at rather high price for what it is, meat paired with mint and basil greens. Grilled goat mainly on the menu but fake dog sausage is one of the dishes… A five star rating here pulled me in despite the ghetto grill exterior.
