I had an amazing experience at Bindaas. From the moment we walked in, Chef Ajay made us feel incredibly welcome—truly a gem of a person who adds a personal touch to the whole dining experience.

The food was absolutely mouthwatering—every single dish we tried was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. You can tell there’s real passion behind the cooking. And a special shoutout to the fries—they were perfectly crispy and just addictive!

Overall, everything was delicious, and the warm hospitality made it even better. Definitely a place I’d come back to and highly recommend.

Went there for a quick bite because I had been craving for a good ol’ kaathi roll which is quite a task to get in DC/VA. Ordered the chicken puff and the lamb roast kaathi roll and both were delicious. Honestly, the chicken puff was just great— the puff was flaky and the chicken stuffing was just seasoned right. (Also, not sure, but I think the puff pastry had ghee maybe in it which made it really amazing). But, I loved it!! The lamb roast kaathi roll is good and is as close to being authentic kaathi roll for DC. Taste was great for both.

It was my 1st visit and I really enjoyed the food. Chef Ajay was personally paying attention to our needs and was very approachable. People who are Indian vegetarians or who eat vegan, they must try their vegan bowl. It’s wholesome and gives home comfort food feel. Even the burger (vada pav) is super good! Will highly recommend it !!

I came across this gem of a place while searching for an Indian restaurant. The food was amazing, we tried Samosa, bombay sandwich (which was like Vada Pav), vegetarian kathi roll and the bowl. Everything tasted so good. We also had a chance to talk with the Chef Ajay, who happens to be from where I am. We had a engaging conversation, he told how passionate he was about food and he brings that experience to serve this delicious food here. It’s a must try place if you’re in DC, do give it a try.

I had chicken tikka masala and gulab jaman+rabri. The chicken tikka was good, but it had no spice and it didn’t taste traditional (I kinda wanted traditional but it had a different but still good taste). Price was reasonable. The gulab jaman+rabri dessert was a little overpriced (almost $6) as they only gave two very small gulab jaman (which were pretty good tbh) but the rabri had no taste, so I’d recommend trying out a different dessert.

Personally I don’t like taste or smell of indian food, but it’s great choice for lovers of Indian cuisine. Looks good, prices are moderate for Washington D.C. They claim for themselves to be: Authentic Indian street food, made from scratch – created by James Beard Award Winning Chef, Vikram Sunderam. Bindaas Bowls & Rolls is a carryout concept along with seating for 35. 4 out of 5 stars for Bindaas Bowls & Rolls. They are open pretty much Mon thru Sun from around 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

I recently visited this lovely Indian restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming .During my visit, I had the pleasure of chatting with the skilled chef ( the man in the picture ). Although I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, I suggested to him the idea of incorporating a greater variety of vegetables in the menu. To my understanding, the restaurant’s smaller size posed some limitations in terms of expanding their selection, but nonetheless, it was still a delightful experience.

Modern/ young vibe indian food in downtown DC.
If you have not try indian food yet you can start here!
It is kind of like chipotle & cava version of indian food. You get to create your own bowl or you can order already made signature bowl.
Staffs were so friendly & helpful and atmosphere is cozy. they have comfy booth and table and also high table for eating alone.
We ordered chicken bowl and salmon bowl with gun powder fries. All the meat was so fresh and juicy and flavorful.
You must also try the gun powder fries because they are so crispy and the ketchup looking sauce is definitely a kick to the flavor. It is sweet & little bit spicy goes perfectly well with your bowl.

Also don’t skip a dessert they have house made dessert. I tried mango cheese cake and it was sooo good.
Not too sweet and fruity& fluffy. It is not regular heavy creamy cheesecake.
It was perfect way to finish my dinner.
It is not cheap but also quality is not cheap.
They also have hot/cold grab and go options!

If you are visiting DC downtown, you should check this place out.
