The food was very fresh and tasty. The Balkan burger was seasoned to perfection, well cooked and very juicy! A very generous portion size, I could barely finish it after the soup. Extremely attentive service and very friendly, I will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Overall Thoughts: Bina’s Place is a small family-owned restaurant serving up delicious Balkan food— truly some great quality grilled meats. The interior is decorated very simply with tables against the walls seating ~4 people each. When we came in at 6:30pm on Sunday, it was pretty empty and they were unfortunately out of most desserts (they stop serving them by 7pm). The server/owner was super sweet, and the food came out pretty quickly. The prices felt very reasonable for the quality. When I’m back in Rogers Park, I’d love to come back to try more of their menu!
Food I tried:
– Balkan Barbeque Plate (4.7/5): The meats were SO juicy, aromatic, flavorful, and beautifully grilled. The toasted pita was fluffy and chewy too. The chicken was a little drier than I would’ve liked but otherwise everything was so juicy, tender, and wonderful.
– Spinach & Feta Burek (4.6/5): The burek’s texture was perfect— it’s light, buttery, and flaky, and slightly chewy when you bite into it. The flavors of the spinach / feta were mild (mostly just salty) but I liked it that way, as it really let the textures of the pastry shine through.

I had a fantastic experience at this Balkan restaurant! The latte was absolutely delicious—smooth, rich, and perfectly made. The food was also really good, full of authentic flavors and well-prepared. I had beef grounded burek. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was friendly. Definitely a great spot to enjoy a quality meal and coffee.

Walked in at 7:30 on the dot on a Saturday. Short haired brunette women at the counter doing nothing. I asked if i could place an order of Beef Burek for carryout ? Lady tells me the kitchen is closed . I say your open till 8 pm and asked if what time kitchen closed . Lady tells me 7:30 kitchen close. I said i live across the street and its my first time here . She didn’t care and neither did i , i got my Burek 2 miles away at North Star . Wont go to Binas again.

Amazing gem for Balkan food. Came for lunch and had the spinach and feta Burek, Cevapi plate, and Balkan salad. All were amazing! The service was great if a bit inattentive. Forgivable as it’s a mom and pop shop and she was doing multiple jobs.

What a lovely Cafe! This area needed some fresh local food!! At Bina’s you’ll find Balkan and American style food. They have something for everyone. Foods like paninis, Italian beefs, Philly Chicken/Steak, salads, goulash pasta, pizza, and even breakfast!! I was in for a quick turkey panini sandwich and enjoy every bit of it. They also claim to have the best Burek in Chicago! I’ll have to try that next time. #supportlocal
