This is a very special place in the neighborhood. Chef Rafik delivers fine-dining caliber dishes with serious flavor and zero pretense. Every plate is created with care and bold intent. And then Rafik and Joe themselves. They don’t just run a restaurant, they build community. They look you in the eye, learn your name, and make sure you feel like you belong here. The regulars? Loyal for a reason.

Come ready to be impressed. Stay because you’ve found the neighborhood spot everyone wishes they had.

I came here on 02/14/26 around 11:30am with a friend, hoping to support a local business a couple blocks from home. After about 5min of trying to decide what to order, the older man working comes over impatiently with an overbearing attitude and asks if we need help.

I had questions about dairy, cheese in a specific dish since the description wasnt clear. His response and demeanor was very passive agressive. At this point me and my guest just decide to leave without odering anything. The man then doubles down and disrespects us by grabbing one of our belongings and outright tells us to get out.

Never in all my years growing up in Lower Manhattan had anyone treated me so blatantly disrespectful. Its really no wonder why this place was nearly empty. Unwelcoming and miserable environment. Dont waste your time here.

I recommend just going to Veselka or Cafe Maud. Cafe Maud has incredibly friendly, attentive, non judgemental staff. I should have just went there from the very beginning.

This is our watering hole. We go here all the time. The food is always delicious. My favorite is the salmon salad, but on weekends, we go for the delicious and unique French toast, in my point of view it’s the best in the city. Our favorite waiter is Joe and the chef Rafik. always comes up with amazing dishes. He comes up with these sauces that are just dreamy. Because you’re dreaming to come back for them. And the seasonal specials are incredible. Plus they Bake their bread in House and all their desserts are so creative made by the wife of the chef. She is actually an Award winning pastry chef.

I’ve been coming here for years – quite a trip from upper west side where I live – and it is worth every subway delay. It is a little cozy gem of a place on Ave A (they exist!). The food is unreal – the kitchen is small but the chef is not – and you can’t have a bad dish here. Not to mention the CAKES… There are 2 people that work here – who are also the owners – the Rafik and Joe. They are what make the place truly unique. Everyone here is a regular – and for good reason.

Really enjoyed dining here! The food was delicious and healthy. The staff was informative and accommodating to my gluten intolerance and really went above and beyond to satisfy us. The atmosphere isn’t too loud and conducive to having good conversation. Highly recommend checking out this cute spot.

I regularly dine at Bin 141…..the Moroccan Chicken Tangine is absolutely amazing…and my favorite dish, perfectly balanced flavors, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. Chef Rafik Bouzgarrou’s artistry’with food is evident in everything he prepares…..truly a visual delight for the eyes and a treat for the taste buds. The atmosphere is super friendly and the staff most courteous….especially Mr. Joe.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in the East Village! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Chef Rafik Bouzgarrou and his team have created something special—an incredible fusion of fresh, organic, and flavorful dishes that cater to all tastes.

The menu is well-curated, offering everything from delicious seafood and expertly grilled meats to fantastic vegetarian and vegan options. The Beyond Burger is hands down the best I’ve ever had, cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The daily vegan soup specials and homemade pastries, including vegan cakes and croissants, are an absolute treat.

Beyond the food, what makes Bin 141 stand out is the exceptional service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and passionate about what they do, ensuring every guest has a top-notch experience. Whether you’re stopping by for brunch, lunch, or dinner, the ambiance and carefully crafted menu make it a perfect spot for any occasion.

Bin 141 is a must-visit for anyone looking for high-quality, well-priced food in NYC. Chef Rafik and his team have mastered the balance of taste, presentation, and hospitality. I can’t wait to go back!

This is such a little find in east village. Where noisy bars are on every corner, this place is quiet, friendly & adorable. Every dish is amazing – I try to not do the same thing 2xs cause there is much to try. Come in and give a smile and you will be a regular forevermore. Just don’t take my seat at the bar!

Best place in the LES from breakfast/Brunch, lunch and dinner. This is a peaceful Mediterranean vibe restaurant with a great menu. Also the diner specials are always perfect. Great desserts and vegan options. I’m not vegan but anything vegan the chef makes is delicious. I just had the vegan croissant so good took 4 to go. Good coffee too! Espresso are right. A clean and friendly environment to recharge and have delicious good quality and quantity. This is the last place around with this type of magic. The staff and owner actually care! Food and service is always perfect. Mostly an adult neighborhood crowd frequents this Gem. So that’s how it rolls here. If you get you get it !
