We ate here last week, the food was amazing! I had the Nuevo Cubano and my wife had a Riviera Salad with seared tuna. Both were delicious and well prepared. Highly recommend making time to get here during their lunch hours!

Unique little lunch spot. Only open 11-2 M-F. Advertised as Floribbean cuisine but the jumbo was all Creole. Crab cakes have a lighter flavor than east coast style. Both dishes were top notch. Not what you’d expect in Mattoon. A bit pricey but the tropical vibe created by the lemon, avocado and pomegranate trees makes up for it.

Just ate here for the first time and this is some really good food! I had the Cuban Steak Tips that was served with rice with black beans and a really nice bright slaw. The steak tips were very tender and a great Cuban flavor, like I’ve found at Cuban places in the Florida Keys. This is legit! Not a cheap place to eat but the food is good!

I think this might be the best restaurant in Mattoon. Food is fresh and beautiful. Spiced perfectly. Lots of choices. If you like creole food or are looking to try it, you should definitely go here.They are cash only but it’s worth it.

I’ve never had a bad anything here. It may not look like much on the outside and if you blink you might miss it. It’s small but the taste and quality of this food is mighty!!! Somebody had to have gone to Culinary school and made straight A’s. The chef is a true artist and has an absolute love and passion of everything they cook. A little more pricier than most places. But this food is worth it. I’m pretty sure all their ingredients are fresh. So if your taste buds crave refinement, this is the place to go. But be aware that the actual restaurant is very very casual and relaxed atmosphere. So no need to dress up or make Reservations . Just you will want to go early as their hours are limited and they only have on hand what they will typically sell that day so they do run out of items. They do change their menu often. You can call and order. I’m not sure if they accept credit cards. You can order deserts in advance and pick up there.
