We had the chicken fried steak, mac & cheese, fried chicken sandwich, and cheeseburger they’re all fantastic.
Been here for lunch a couple times now, service has been hit or miss. It’s been clean the times I’ve been here for lunch during weekdays. The food has been consistantly good. I’ve had their fish & chips (recommended), their burger (it’s decent), chicken fried steak (recommended), and their cheese sticks (decent). The fish & chips are crunchy and not greasy, their fries are really good too, also not greasy. I particularly appreciated the sourdough bun on their burgers, very soft and flavorful. The patty was decently seasoned too. The chicken fried steak was very juicy and flavorful, and their cheesesticks were alright. They seem to put all their seasonings and flavor in their marinara sauce because the cheese stick alone is flavorless. The tea is good. Will continue returning for lunch.
It was the service that will make me not come back ever. I will be sure to let everyone know.
I have MS and my head shakes back-and-forth in an east and west motion.
The server came by to pick up our plates and told us to have a nice evening while my head was shaking back and forth, and she just assumed that I was saying no without me speaking to her. She went off in a tangent about me saying no, from the time picking up our plates. all the way until she got to the back, and her voice was getting louder and louder as she traveled back making sure I heard. Now had I have been there with just one of my girlfriends I would have voiced my opinion to her at that time. But me being with somebody who I had actually only been out with twice, I was not going to raise a fuss in front of him
This was on a Friday night. And so I call the manager on a Monday to voice my opinion and he said he would look at the footage from the cameras and have a stern talking to her. He said the waitress just did not know what was going on and the full situation.
The last time I had to deal with something like this was with a twelve year old, even the younger kids have enough sense to ask me why my head shakes and I explain it to them.
He kept explaining to me how they have bad/rude customers all the time.
Well, we weren’t bad, nor were we rude at all. I’m sure she she probably even got a tip.
All customer service people should be aware with people with disabilities. Don’t just assume!!!
I hope this stern talking too does the trick for this poor waitress, who doesn’t know any
manners. Good luck to the next customers.
I visited Billy’s today for the first time & I’ve been sick since. My gravy was like mashed potatoes, so the nice waitress sent it back & the cook brought out just another version of gross gravy. Thank goodness I only dipped it once or 2x. I think I may have a small case of food poisoning, it’s getting worse.
My friend had the burger & said it was good.
Then the bathrooms… the ladies room toilet bowl was brown and the sink yellow from grime.
I won’t go back.
