Our NEW FUN place on the bay!!! First time here as we have been meaning to go and it was soooo good! It’s low key vibes make it a great casual spot with delish food!! My dad is newly in a wheelchair due to some medical issues and they set us up right away with a table right by the ramp! As this situation is new to my family I appreciate when wheelchair accessibility is super easy and especially for a fun, hot spot!! Me and my sis of course started with wine for lunch . My whole fam had soup as a start! I had the New England which was DELISH! My hubs got the conch chowder which was also DELISH ~ it had a little kick to it and was a tomato base! My mom had another soup~ but I forget what! I think a corn chowder something!? Either way all soups were great!! Then we had the clams which were also so good! The menu has LOTS of options so it was hard to decide what to get! I was eyeing the Billy’s Bucket but my mom and sis were getting lobster rolls so didn’t want to be jelly so got the same! My hubs and dad got the fluke sandwich~ the special! Also requested the side Cole slaw which they offer if you request it (says on the menu). All in all~ it WAS SO GOOD!!! I definitely recommend checking this place out!! We went during the week for lunch and it was fairly busy! I see they also have music so will be back!! As soon as we were leaving I already told my hubs we were coming back soon for lobster and Billy’s bucket!!! Definitely recommend for a 5 star seafood restaurant on the North Fork with lowkey, casual vibes~

No frills, just great seafood dishes, and occasionally a live band! In true fashion to its name Billy’s is by the bay with views onto the boats in the Harbour.
I had the soft shell crab tacos which were incredible, they do a solid frozen margarita and selection of beers and seltzers too.
Will certainly be back this summer!

If you are looking for the broiled this or poached that keep scrolling. This is the place that is located basically in the parking lot of a marina and served by fast moving, hard working people who want you to be enjoying your food and drinks already. Fried fish combo and fish tacos were all reliable and the baked clams were a good way to start. People next to us had lobster and kept saying it was the best they had all season. Out of town so it was enjoyably busy but not packed. Great bar scene. Excellent service. See you next summer!

Fish and chips were greasey and a bit burnt. Not a good flavor. Fries are meh..
Avoid the steak tidbits. Frozen old steak , tasted like meat had gone bad.
Waitress was good but no manager interaction after letting them know.

The place was packed but we were seated in 20 minutes. The food was good but for the price it should have been better. The staff was very busy and didn’t tend to us. The live music was great and the atmosphere was incredible. The menu was kid friendly and I would visit Billy’s again in the future.

Food was great. View was decent can see some water, be better if boat in yard was moved off the crane. Service was amazing they were quick too. Nice stop on the way to ferry.

Enjoyed Billy’s By the Bay which is on the other side of the madina away from the main Greenport dock area. The rating is 4.5 so I’m giving 5 stars to try to bring the overall rating to 4.5 stars. It’s kind of an attached shack to a pool in the middle of a shipyard. Then main seating is on a deck with a bar in the center. The naked clams were Claus with stuffing and were great. The fried belt clams were deficits and the oysters baked/ roasted with bacon were great. Full bar on site. Worth a trip if you’re going for seafood as the atmosphere is pure dockside.

Lovely location on the water, connected to a scenic boat yard.
Service is friendly and competent. Food is ideal for the location – fish, french fries, beer. We ordered fairly unadventuresome stuff … there are more exotic items on the menu, but we were not interested in challenges that day.

Oh boy, let me tell you about my wild adventure at Billys by the Bay in Greenport, NY. This place is an absolute blast! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had stepped into the funky world of Yacht Rock Radio. The live band was playing tunes that could make even the most stone-faced sailor start swaying their hips. I half expected to see Captain Stubing from “The Love Boat” grooving in the corner.
Now, let’s talk about the food. I ordered their fish and chips, and oh my cod, it was fried to absolute perfection! The batter was so light and crispy that it practically floated off the plate. I couldn’t help but feel like a seagull ready to swoop in and steal it, but I resisted the urge and savored every flaky, delicious bite. It was so good that I considered auditioning for “MasterChef: Fish and Chips Edition” right then and there.
But the real star of the show was their Crabby Mary. Forget about your regular old Bloody Mary; this drink had a feisty twist. It was as spicy as a crab with a sunburn, but oh so tasty. The combination of the tangy tomato juice, zesty spices, and a hint of brininess from the crab just hit the spot. I swear, after a few sips, I was ready to challenge Poseidon himself to a dance-off.
The atmosphere at Billys by the Bay is just something else. The walls are adorned with nautical memorabilia that would make Popeye jealous. You can’t help but feel like you’re on a rollicking boat ride, even though you’re safely on land. It’s like being in “The Love Boat” meets “The Pirates of the Caribbean,” but with better seafood and fewer parrots.
So, if you’re up for an evening of groovy tunes, mouthwatering fish and chips, and a Crabby Mary that will put some fire in your belly, head on over to Billys by the Bay. Just make sure to bring your sea legs and a sense of humor because this place is a seafood sensation that will rock your boat!
