We live in the area and we’re looking for a new place to eat. Since we really like barbecue, we went to Billy Jacks BBQ. The food there was really awesome, I ordered the brisket basket and my wife ordered the wings. Both meals were excellent. It was happy hour so we took advantage of discounted drink prices.
The staff were really great and welcoming. It’s counter order and the order is brought to your table. The food was excellent as was the staff. It’s winter here so it’s too cool to sit outside but they have indoor, patio and outdoor seating. We will definitely return when tje temperature warms up. The patio has a view of the water. I definitely recommend Billy Jacks if you’re looking for good barbecue with a great atmosphere and reasonable prices.

The patio is amazing and spacious and is very family friendly. There is indoor seating, covered patio seating and outdoor patio tables on a large concrete patio. It has a tiny beach right near the water, and they provide outdoor games and activities to keep lida busy while you enjoy the beautiful view of the water! It is basically self serve as you order at the counter and pay there, and food is delivered to your table via a remote device they give you at ordering. We did the wings, a half chicken plate with all the sauces (they are ALL incredible) and then went ba k for gator bites and remoulade! My son loves remoulade and it was his favorite he has had yet! Highly recommend this beautiful spot!

After a morning of fishing with my dad, we stopped at Billy Jack’s off Heckscher Drive for lunch, and it was phenomenal!
The Food: I had the brisket sandwich with hoe cakes. It was my first time trying a hoe cake, and it was absolutely delicious. They take their leftover cornbread and use it to make them. They also make them to order so when you get them, they are fresh and hot! I added butter and honey to mine and it melted in my mouth! The brisket was flavorful and i used the sweet and spicy sauce. Absolutely divine! Best bbq brisket I’ve had in a while!My dad had the fresh catch platter, and used Matts remoulade sauce recommendation and it took it to another level!!! We both cleaned our plates without hesitation.
The Service: Matt took our order and went above and beyond, walking us through the menu, suggesting items, and even bringing out sauces for us to try. The service was welcoming and attentive, and you could tell the staff genuinely enjoyed being there.
The Atmosphere: The setting made it even better. Billy Jack’s sits right on the river, with beautiful views and fishing boats drifting by. It’s the perfect backdrop for a relaxed, memorable meal.
Bonus: We also learned the owner is behind Marker 32, North Beach Fish Camp, and other well-known restaurants, and that he’s often working right alongside his team. That dedication to quality really shines through here. Every detail was on point.
Billy Jack’s is the kind of place where great food, great people, and a gorgeous view all come together. I highly recommend checking it out! But be warned, you will get addicted and want to go back for more!
P.S. the only thing I wish is that they had a dock. Would be a perfect place to stop when boating. Oh and in case you’re wondering, no we didn’t catch any keepers

We had heard great things about this restaurant and it definitely lived up to the hype. We enjoyed a delicious meal outside by the water. We had a brisket sandwich with fries and Mac n cheese. Highly recommend and we will be back:)

Some friends told us about this BBQ joint that recently opened, so we had to try it. Food is good. We just snacked on some pulled pork nachos, a hot link, some fried okra, and some tomatoes and okra. The tomatoes and okra were off the chain. We will definitely come back to try more of the smoked goods. The service was ridiculously excellent. Everyone was really nice and helpful. The atmosphere right on the St. John’s River is awesome. Highly recommend.

We stopped here on our way to Talbot Park and couldn’t have been happier! The food was the best we had on our short vacation (considering we just left Disney which is known for their food that’s saying something) and you could tell the folks put real effort into it and take care of guests. We hadn’t had gator in years so we had to try theirs and it was the best I’ve ever had! The outdoor seating has a fabulous ocean view. If you’re in the area this place is not to be missed because of genuine cuisine and care.

Me and my girl wnt here for the first time today, Nina met us immediately to ask if it was our first time and invited us to come sit at the bar and have a drink while she told us what was good, she made the best bloody mary double and explained the menu, we ended up getting the turkey ruben(best Ruben I ever had!)and the 2 meat dinner with pulled pork and brisket with butter beans and collards the sandwich with fries, everything was delicious, we settled on the datil pepper sauce so much be bought a bottle to go,we also got a side of the hoe cakes and ended up getting an order to go! Just a great bunch of people,especially Nina and great food,we even met a great local dude at the bar. We will absolutely be back and cant wait for the spring so we can hang outside at there awesome outdoor area and play some cornhole!! Definitely 5 out of five for us!!

I had the salad i do wish I received more chicken with the amount of salad I had. The ranch abs blue cheese dressing delicious and homemade. My daughter had the loaded fries with her brisket on the side.
My husband had the wings and fried shrimp.
The view was amazing and food was amazing!we will be back

One of my fave places to get lunch or an early dinner, they have indoor and outdoor seating. I’m a scenic girlie so I always sit outside, catch a breeze and watch the boats go by. If you’re lucky you can see some dolphins out there really really cool. All the people here are always so pleasant! The food is fresh and fast and oh so tasty ! They have a full bar, I normally get an old fashion because they make old fashions but I tried something new this time, like always they never ever disappoint!!! That nana pudding is done right!!! I’d only like a lil more cookie up in that thang, I’m gone still clean the bowl and lick the lid either way. If you get the greens add a lil piedmont sauce in them so it can change your life…you’re welcome in advance!
