As a business owner, I take reviews seriously and I don’t hand out praise unless it’s earned. Billy Bob’s Burger absolutely earned it. The food was excellent—hands down. The burgers were cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and clearly made with quality ingredients. You can tell they don’t cut corners.
The okra deserves its own mention—crispy, seasoned just right, and honestly some of the best I’ve had. Overall, everything we ordered was just flat-out delicious.
This place does what a good restaurant is supposed to do: great food, done right, no gimmicks. If you’re looking for a solid burger spot that delivers, Billy Bob’s Burger is it. I’d come back without hesitation and recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food.

The food was good and the service was friendly. We all had special orders and everything was correct when we got our food. We had burgers and my kiddo had a grilled cheese. I definitely recommend the jalapeno cheddar bun for a slight upcharge if you’re getting a burger. It’s not spicy at all but so soft and flavorful. We started off with the Frito pie appetizer which was a pretty good size and kiddo got a small chocolate shake that was more than enough. Everything was great!

What came was:

X1 house “salad”
NO FRIES
NO SPRITE
The house salad was shredded lettuce. Not kidding. And x1 thing of ranch not even half way filled up. I just went to my kitchen and used our ranch instead.
Disappointed this go round as the missing food was part of our daughter’s dinner.

This was our first time at Billy Bobs. Everything was perfect. The staff was all very friendly and answered any questions we had. The food was great. I had the Texan with an extra patty and the jalapeño bun. She had the mushroom Swiss burger, both of us had onion rings and we split a Billy Philly fries. We had to take food home with us. We are big fans of onion rings and those are the best we’ve had in waco especially with their made in-house sauces. The price is a little high so this won’t be an every day place but we will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

The BEST chicken Philly I have ever had. I thought I had a favorite, but no, this one was our of this world. My adult son got the popper burger and really enjoyed it. Next time I’m in Waco, I’m going to get me another one.

Me and my father went here while we were visiting Waco. We’ve never been here before but the staff made us feel like we’ve been there are whole lives. I got the Poppin jalapeno burger with tater tots while my dad got the Texan burger with onion rings. They were down right delicious till the point that my father said it was the best burger he’s ever tasted (and he loves his burgers). For me it was definitely the second tastiest burger I’ve ever had. 10/10 if I came here again I’m gunning for Billy’s!!

Great local place to stop for a burger. They have a simple menu which you’ll come to find is a good thing for the quality of what is served.
Do this place a solid and give it a shot. The fries are battered, one of my favorite types. They have a decent heat ghost pepper sauce, and the house sauce is a paprika aioli thats pretty tasty.
If I had one critique and there is always one. I loathe mayonnaise and the Ruben they serve has mayo and not thousand island and the reason I didn’t order it.
Odd to cause if they just added Worcester, a sweet relish, and maybe a splash of ketchup to the house sauce, they would have their own tasty version to put on the sammich. Odd so much attention is placed on the food to miss that small detail, but I digress, the place is a solid choice!

wonderful people working there <3 they were super sweet! but maybe one of the cooks were having a bad day?? i had asked our beloved waitress for light onions on my philly, but they um.. they smothered the hell out of my sammie with onions. that’s all i could taste lol but other than that, drinks were good (i got one of the adult milkshakes), the sweet potato fries, the pickle fries, and regular french fries were good!

This is a good little restaurant in the heart of downtown Waco. It’s a bit rustic around the edges with a bit of a “dive” feel to it. The food was excellent though and the service was friendly. I had a chicken Philly with tots on the side. The serving size was more than ample but I suppose that is normal for Texas (I’m from Indiana). The sandwich was loaded with peppers, mushrooms, and onions like a good Philly is supposed to be (they added jalapenos for me as well) the chicken was well seasoned, tender, and juicy. Even with all the stuffing, the hoagie didn’t fall apart halfway through the sandwich. I would definitely recommend this little bar and grill.
