Food and service is definitely a 10/10, atmosphere was very chill, music is late 90’s early 2000’s vibes. Good for first date night or quick social gathering. This is not your typical dining for full entree if you’re expected to feel full. It’s built more like quick snack and a couple drinks and let’s go Netflix and chill after or go do something after. We had a great time.

It’s the perfect destination whether you’re stopping in for drinks after Billy Sushi or enjoying a full dinner on its own. The sushi is excellent, the cocktails are outstanding, and the service truly elevates the experience. The staff is warm, attentive, and welcoming, and our bartender, Jack, was exceptionally friendly and incredibly knowledgeable—clearly passionate about his craft. Went for my birthday this past week and had a good time. The service was excellent and staff seemed knowledgeable about the menu and were open to questions. They did not shy away from a strong drink and were very accommodating. The food was good, not the best japanese in minneapolis but enough to add a positive note to the overall experience. Just a great atmosphere and the playlist was a huge plus as well.

I’ve now been here twice, both times with a reservation, and it just doesn’t live up to the hype everyone gives it. The food is delicious but I’d just recommend just going to the actual restaurant. No matter where you get seated it will feel cramped and you will be really close to your neighbors. The staff was super nice but rarely checked on us, it took an hour to get our first round of drinks BOTH times I’ve been.

So cool! The music is a bit loud but it is such a fun vibe. We had 2 sushi rolls and a round of drinks. Everything was amazing. Gabby was a terrific server!

I’ve now been here twice, and both times the service was unbelievably bad.
The first time we went, it took 45 minutes just to get our drinks. During that time we were also charged for caviar bumps that we never received. When we asked about them, the server told us the kitchen had already closed, so they couldn’t make them and had to remove them from the bill. Why they were added to the bill in the first place is beyond me.
What really pushed the experience into ridiculous territory was that when our first drinks finally arrived, the server immediately told us it was last call, meaning we waited almost an hour for drinks only to be told we couldn’t order anything else. It felt completely disorganized.
I gave the place a second chance. Somehow it wasn’t any better. It still took 25 minutes just to get drinks, and when the server dropped the check they didn’t say thank you, good night, or acknowledge us at all. Just dropped the bill and walked away.
For a place that’s supposed to be a late-night spot, the service is painfully slow, careless, and frankly rude. There are plenty of better places in Minneapolis to spend your money.

Visited here for the first time last night and was blown away by our experience! Initially we intended to dine upstairs at Billy sushi, but there were no tables. The hostess informed us that there might be a table open downstairs so we decided to check it out. We were seated right away on a Saturday night around 6 pm, albeit with the stipulation that we’d finish by 730 as there were reservations coming (fine by us).
The cocktail menu is small but creative. We tried a few and were impressed with all of them.
We ordered the crunchy roll and the return of the mack roll. The return of the mack was heavenly. I mean something I’ll dream about.
The vibe was perfect, low lit and intimate.
Highly reccomend checking this out for date night!

We had a group of 8, be mindful that only 1 person can pay in their large group policy. No big deal, just information.
The drinks and food were awesome, if you’re a beer person I’d recommend the Koho Sea Salt beer delicious, its lighter beer. All the sushi, teriyaki beef, chicken, crispy rice, chicken dish (forgot the name) was on point!
The atmosphere is great, 90’s-00s hip-hop and R&B, after a cocktail your definitely feeling the Playlist.
This was our second group trip to B.A.D, and we’ll definitely keep bringing people here.
