Andrew was a wonderful server! This was a special dinner because I met up with someone I have become great friends with from afar— it was a spontaneous decision to extend my trip from Williamsburg to Chincoteague and then realize I was an hour away from her (we are normally like 9 hrs apart) so she made the drive just to have dinner with us, and we got to meet at this restaurant for the first time in life! So we were VERY excited!! Especially since only arranged a couple hrs prior to arriving! My stuffed flounder was delicious, and I really enjoyed the shrimp salad! It was a honey mustard dressing, but more on the honey side, which was fantastic! The bread brought to the table was very good. My friend enjoyed her chicken Alfredo. My chocolate martini was good, not the best, but good. She loved her sangria, which is made in house. The brumbleberry pie was good, tart, but very good and the crème brûlée was good. However, my partner’s $40 fried fish tasted the same as you’d get at some $20 plated fishcamp. My son’s ribeye was AWFUL. He ordered medium rare and it came out well done. It was so thin & nasty looking. They did take that off the bill & only charge for the side, but that’s a big mistake in my book coming from a fancy restaurant that esteems itself in their steaks!!!

Excellent quality food and terrific service! The pumpkin brulee was the best I have ever had! They have an impressive wine list too! Airline chicken was fabulous.

We stopped at Bill’s for lunch during a weekend trip to Chincoteague. The oysters were fresh and the clam chowder was fine (though heavy on potatoes), but overall the meal fell short for the price. The surf and turf was listed at market price, and while we should have asked ahead of time, it would’ve been helpful for the staff to give us a heads-up. We expected something in the $60–$100 range, maybe $120 tops, so it was a surprise when the bill came out to over $200 for the surf and turf, a chowder, and oysters — with the surf and turf alone priced at $170.
At that price, I hoped the quality would match, but the steak arrived lukewarm, the lobster was overwhelmingly salty, and the asparagus looked tired and unappetizing. The food wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t what you’d expect at this cost or from a restaurant that presents itself as fine dining. Service was pleasant, just lacking the polish you’d anticipate at this level. My boyfriend wasn’t as disappointed, but I left underwhelmed and felt the value wasn’t there.

We visited with our children and had a great experience. The food and service were wonderful. The staff are a very hardworking crew and the food was delicious. Everyone can write a bad review on food but only a few can make and serve food that can please everyone. Lots of kids menu options and what we feel is fair pricing in their meals given the economy and the fresh ingredients they are sourcing. Thank you for a great experience in Feb no less!

We were staying in Chincoteague for one night in mid April. Most restaurants were still closed for the season. We found Bills was opened and loved it. We were able to make a reservation and when we arrived the restaurant was full. We were greeted at the door and immediately seated. Our server was amazing. The fish dishes were all amazing and the portions were big. We will definitely return!

VERY DISAPPOINTED…new waitress served salad, soup and entres all at same time…not good service. Clam Chowder (aka Potato Chowder) missed the mark with clams as main ingredient. Fried seafood platter was very greasy, fish was not edible as meal must have been cooked in warm grease. Even oysters were soggy and greasy, not crisp. Crab Cakes were mushy due to filler and then covered with Imperial Sauce. We won’t be back after spending $100 for such low quality dining, please fire or re-train that Chef.

Experience was excellent. Started with pretzel sticks and crab dip, then the 20oz bone in ribeye and finished off with the 7 layer chocolate cake. Everything tasted great. Steak was super juicy and tender. Cake was so good but after all the food I could not finish it. Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely be back.

We’ve eaten at many nice restaurants in the area but Bill’s is much more upscale. The staff is very professional in their dress as well as service. The decor is fresh and designer savy. The food and recipes seem local and fresh. Prices are reasonable and I felt spoiled and full when we left.

So 3rd visit. We really enjoyed last 2 meals here. Last night decided to make the over hour drive for a great meal, disappointed is an understatement. 7:15 reservation not seated till 8, okay really not anyone’s fault. Our server Debra was good. Crabby Cheese Loaf had no flavor except for the horseradish sauce served on side. Cocktails were on point. Black & Blue Ribeye on special was the worst cut of meat I have ever paid for anywhere, full of grissel and to the point of exhausting to cut or chew. The flavor was phenomenal though.
No we didnt say a word just made the best of it. What was the need? It wasn’t Debra’s fault. So why ruin someone’s night?
Brought home the 6 layer chocolate cake and O my it made up for not having the best dinner.

The restaurant provides a nice intimate setting with just the right amount of decor. The wait staff is very attentive, and the food is always delicious. You may have to wait a little when it’s busy, but it’s worth it!
