I don’t often write reviews, but our first impression was with how kind, sincere, and engaging our greeter/server Reda was. He truly cared about us feeling welcomed and went above and beyond to attend to us, which was an unexpected quality of service for a little diner in the middle of a big city!
And was the food as good as the service? Yes! All of our burgers were delicious, and my boys were raving about how good the fries were. The shakes were delicious too!
One of my boys got the 65th Anniversary Burger… a quadruple decker… and finished it! $35, but it was worth it to satisfy a teenage boy with a bottomless stomach.
Although the food and service were exceptional and I’ve made it sound like a 5-Star restaurant, just be aware that the ambiance is a typical big city mom-and-pop hole in the wall diner… no frills, but they do have a very charming little dog-friendly back patio (bring a jacket though)!
So if you’re looking for a casual but delicious restaurant with sincerely nice people in the middle of the city, yes, go to Bill’s Place!

I deliberately made a trip into the city just to try this place. I’m glad I did. A traditional burger joint but they go the extra mile as far as quality of both food and service. Fresh ground beef, not frozen, cooked perfectly. French fries were great too. I came right at the lunch rush. And even though it was busy, Daniel and Wally took care of everyone with an upbeat, positive energy. Ari, the grill cook, was a machine. Only word that came out of his mouth was “Ready!”. He was cranking burgers with impressive speed and precision. I’m definitely coming back. There’s more I’d like to try.

Bills place is one of my favorite burger places and serve good quality food. The tuna sandwich I ate was excellently made. The service was very friendly and the ambiance of the place was excellent. It is not the first time I have been here and can see myself continuing to come back here. I give them 5 stars ⭐️

This place is so nice! I got the bbq burger and changed to the turkey patty, it was so delicious!!! Got the curly fries to share with a friend and it was a perfect basket amount for two people. Everything was fresh and well priced. They carry Pepsi products, which is my preference and they just have a a good classic vibe.

Delicious fresh food. The French fries are made fresh and are the best I’ve had. The banana shake was made fresh too and it was delicious. The owner is friendly and the service was great. If I lived closer I would become a regular.

If you’re looking for a great burger and great service but don’t care how dirty, filthy, and unkept the joint is, look no further. I’m giving Bill’s three stars but have no plans to go back. I couldn’t believe the filth and food scattered on the floor. The ice cream display was so dirty that you could barely tell what flavor you were ordering. The front door was damaged on the outside due to a break in the night before but the inside of the door looked like it was paint the day of founding back in 1959. Sorry but I don’t think this place would pass a city inspection in its current condition. Oh, and while having lunch around 1pm, I noticed plenty of open seating. People vote with their feet and clearly they aren’t voting for this place.

Took my English boyfriend here for his first meal in America – ever, and am so glad I did! Was lovely and welcoming, the owner, Reda, and his lovely staff ensured we had a delicious meal with great service. Would highly recommend. This is San Francisco.

Stopped into Bills after a day at the beach. It’s got an old school feel, definitely reminded me of the diners back at home. I ordered a patty melt and fries which came out to around 15 dollars. Delicious! Every bite resembled flashbacks of home. Watching them cook it on the flat top made it even more special. They’ve been around for over 60 plus years for a reason!

My dad and I love going to Bill’s. The food is always great, and the atmosphere is laid-back and cozy. But what we really appreciate is the attentive service. The waiter who works there always makes sure he gets our order right and he often checks in to make sure everything is good. Which it always is!

What a great place for a burger. I had the Famous Bill’s Cheeseburger #02 and my wife had the grilled cheese. The bacon was thick and crispy, the produce was fresh and complimented the fresh juicy meat perfectly.
Everything was cooked perfectly, the fries are cut fresh and fried right away.
Sit at the counter if you can, it’s great to watch them cook your food and have it go from grill to you with one turn.
Has a great little dinner feel. I’ll be back for sure.
