Classic joint here! Awesome burgers and friendly staff. Grilled onions for only 25¢. Everything made to order right in front of you but super quick. Super thin patties but a double makes it worth it. Parking lot holds about 10-15 cars, and there is 1 pic nic table out back. A single cheese burger with fries and a double hamburger for $13.37 has me and my cholesterol elevated!

It was my first time at Bill’s Diner. I had a cheeseburger combo and was good. The fries are fresh and crispy.

Quick and friendly service! Their burgers are delicious and their Chicago-style dogs are one of my faves! Their fries are deliciously crispy too! I can’t wait to go back!

Hot dogs were horrible. No flavor no snap mushy. Buns were stale. Ordered cheese fries they forgot to give me the cheese. The Italian beef was one of the worst I ever tasted. Beef was tough juice had no flavor. Even the bun had a aftertaste. Never going back here again. I don’t know how they’ve been in business so long.

I went to Bill’s today, it seems like these are new owners yet again. Be prepared the prices have really gone up! I paid $9 and some change for just two cheeseburgers. That’s kinda high because the burgers are really thin. I’ve been going to Bill’s when the original owners were there in the 60’s as a kid with my mother & sister. It’s not quite the same. The burgers tasted ok but I noticed small portions of the edges of the burger looked stale and felt tough. Never experienced this before. Seems like the quality of the food has gone down while the price has gone way up. I don’t know if I’ll ever return. But, I will always have good memories of this old hotdog stand in Evanston which has been established for decades!

Typical quick service burger stop. Got waffle and curly fries but they are more like a standard fry pressed into those shapes rather than any breading like most curly/waffle options.

Good burgers, great hot dogs, Chicago style. The lady serving the food is nice too. Fresh fries. Good prices.

Still pretty good even though the new people change things a little bit. But still a good double cheeseburger and fries for the chocolate shake can make your whole day better.

I always assumed that no one could ever make a bad hot dog! Well I was wrong! I just had the worst hot dog that I’ve ever had! It tasted like bologna on a wet bun. I will never go back.
