We came on a Saturday, knowing it would likely be a bit busy. The wait list truly did not take very long, and we were pleasantly surprised. We were seated outside which we know can be a gamble with sun and weather, so trying to not base a bad review off of that, but there was no avoiding the direct sun for at least one person at every table. However they did have plenty of heaters forbthe outside seating which was nice. We sat for nearly 15 minutes without being acknowledged, then a sweet man came out and asked if we wanted coffee. I got coffee and had no utensils on the table, sonhad to flag someone down to get a spoon to stir the coffee with, which was dirty.. Another 15 minutes until someone took our order and brought my husband water, and then 10 minutes to get the food.. which was decent, but nothing special for such a long waited experience. It looked nice when it came out, but the flavor was just mid.. In this time servers were coming in and out of the area we were seated in, and paid zero attention to more than one or two tables at a time. I had to flag someone down to ask for more coffee even though people came out to ask other tables if they wanted any.. while everyone was very nice who we did interact with, the lack of attentiveness is what I rate poorly on. Would definitely not come back.

Great experience on a holiday weekday. Went a little after 11am, scanned QR Code at the entrance to get added to the waitlist, and waited less than 10 minutes!
Service was attentive and food was delicious with large portions.
Their lemon blueberry pancakes are not to be missed! And I think they may have mastered the perfect hash browns!
Great place for brunch! Outside seating worked well for us on this moderate temperature day. Can’t wait to try more dishes!

4.6.
Still my favorite breakfast spot in San Jose every time I visit. Delicious food every time. Barbara was very sweet and attentive. The sweet potato Benedict with carnitas was very creative, the hash browns have a nice crispy exterior. I leave full and happy every time

Came here for brunch and it was busy, with about a 10 minute wait. The Mexicano omelet was pretty basic and nothing special, while the veggie skillet was decent but had way too much asparagus for my taste. I’d definitely recommend upgrading the toast to pancakes. The cinnamon pancake was amazing, though the strawberry one was just okay. The avocados on a couple of dishes weren’t fresh, and the coffee was your standard diner style. I also got a dirty spoon.
Portions felt small for the price, but the service was cheerful and efficient, with plenty of coffee and water refills. The space itself is simple diner seating and not particularly memorable. Overall, I’d say it’s a step up from Denny’s or IHOP, but there are plenty of better brunch spots to try in the area.

Staff are very tentative and welcoming! I had Mexicali benedict! It was toasty hot, crispy, and came with spicy salsa! We hasp had Hawaiian pancakes, they were hot and fluffy!

Bill’s Bascom has become our go-to brunch spot, so expectations were high. Unfortunately, our experience at Bill’s Stevens Creek was disappointing. The coffee mug had a stain inside, the food came out fast but wasn’t what we ordered, and we had to ask for utensils after the food arrived. It wasn’t easy to find anyone, and our waitress wasn’t around. Coffee was never refilled until we stopped someone to ask, and the server only showed up when we were done and needed boxes and the bill. Overall, the service was poor and we felt completely ignored. We won’t be coming back.

The Best Pancake! A Breakfast Gem in Suburbia.
I’ve always believed that the best part of suburbia is its breakfast cafes—and Bill’s Café continues to prove me right. With several locations across the Bay Area and a rich history dating back to 1977, this local chain is a must-stop for breakfast lovers.
From fresh-squeezed orange juice and crispy bacon to creative, crave-worthy pancakes and thick, golden French toast—even their regular toast is memorable. Their attention to detail shines in every dish, making each visit a satisfying and wholesome experience. I suspect they source their ingredients from only the best, because the consistency in quality is unmatched. Try their fresh OJ any time of the year—you’ll taste the difference.
Service is consistently warm and attentive. Just be prepared for a wait during peak weekend hours; I recommend arriving either early or later to avoid the rush.
My only complaint? Their fruit combinations. While traditionally accepted, mixing highly acidic fruits like pineapple with sweeter, low-acid fruits like melon isn’t ideal from a nutrition perspective—it’s a digestive no-no. Just something to consider for those of us with sensitive stomachs.
Still, this place has earned my loyalty. A true suburban breakfast treasure!

Absolutely delicious! We had the Asparagus Omelette which I did not get a picture of. It was so delicious we ate it up. The coffee is hot and yummy! Mimosa flight (Bills Original, Guava, Paloma) was also delicious! Jessica was an amazing waitress; friendly, bubbly personality, warm and welcoming and helped us with menu suggestions. We are visiting from out of town but will look forward to coming again next time!

So, TikTok came through once again. This place was really good and hit the spot. The chicken fried steak was fire with that in house country gravy. Definitely a must try if you are in the area. Big portions and friendly staff. Very attentive and affordable. Highly recommend this place.
