In 1950, with a $500 loan from his father, Bill Miller opened a small poultry and egg business. Three years later Bill Miller Bar-B-Q began as a small fried chicken-to-go restaurant. Today Bill Miller is a family owned and operated business with 77 locations in the San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas. We take pride in cooking all our barbecued meats in pits smoked with 100% live oak wood. We offer a variety of meats such as brisket, sausage, bar-b-q chicken, pork spareribs, turkey and fried chicken. We specialize in the baking of breads and pies made fresh daily. This location used to be the best one on the southside, but over the past few months to a year, it’s quickly gone downhill. My husband picked up food tonight in the drive thru and they barely put any sides in the compartments. Barely halfway full, if that really. I took a fork full out for my son and there was barely any left in that side. They forgot the sausage that came with the brisket plate and now using these new cups for sides, they can never tell when someone puts bbq sauce in them or green beans so they always end up shorting us a side of green beans because they give out multiple cups of sauce instead. My husband went back after I had called and they just made a plate of the green beans, sausage, and gave us an extra side of hashbrowns to make up for that one plate. Really, the other two plates we got were the same way, but when he showed them the pictures in line, they were surprised at the quantity and just said sorry, we can’t give you anymore because “policy.” Not to mention that there were very young adults (maybe 18yo’s) in the background talking very rudely and making comments about my husband. I’m sorry, but that’s terrible service and if they’re complaining because they can’t or won’t do their job right, get another one or maybe don’t be so lazy. We paid $60 for this food, we should get what we paid for and that’s not being stingy.

Overall decent food especially for the price. Large menu including breakfast in the morning. The Tea is amazing. The mac and chesse is good as well. The desserts are worth a try. Only slight complaint is the service when ordering. The girl took a very long time get our order and was too busy chatting with her co worker. She kept leaving the station to converse as we stood there watching. Other than that the Bbq and the Bbq chicken is worth a visit.

Came in for a late lunch with my daughter, her choice. We were 4th in line but we were served almost immediately! Restaurant is extremely clean and staff are very nice. We ordered the #8 which is 2 meats with 3 sides and a tea. More than enough food for anyone. We ordered the ribs, bbq chicken, and the ham. Chicken just a tad bit dry. Green beans tasty and cream of corn was the bomb!!! Thanks for a great lunch!!

I love coming to this location. Today was the worst experience I’ve had at bill miller. I stood and waited for 20 minutes for my pick up order just for them to end up telling me “oh it’s right here” then handing me the coldest bag I’ve ever touched. I asked to them to remake the order because it had been sitting and a female said “he just got here” insinuating that I was lying. Then waited another 25 minutes just for my order to be remade. The manger on duty kept going on her phone and making eye contact with me. While I just waited and waited. I have a lot of patience but this felt unacceptable from Bill miller.

Went through drive through and they first gave me wrong drink and meal and then gave right meal but missed items. Didn’t even give BBQ sauce. Called and they just come get. Went thru drive thru for a reason. No not going back anymore. Then says just come for missing items whenever within 30 days. My meal should be replaced for failing.

The team here are always amazing and the food is always fresh. It’s a little expensive but you pay for what you get. Clean facility with handicap access and changing stations for parents. Always have good music playing but never loud enough to where you can enjoy your family or a dinner alone.

I have gone to several locations in town but the one I got too is the one on Leopard and Navigation way better than Southside locations. I always order a #8 brisket and chicken sometimes sausage but today’s food was delicious. I actually enjoyed my lunch everything was done to perfection. The chicken was not dry and brisket was very moist, rice was like I make at home, beans and potato salad were good.

Just picked up some Wild Bill combos for the family. This is our favorite meal to get here. The meat is good. The fries are amazing and the sweet tea is the best! I have always received great service and they are really fast. If you see a line, don’t let it deter you.

Me and the wife visited this location for dinner. Me and the wife had two plates. It comes with a meat and three sides for $11.99 a person. Great deal! I got the brisket with pinto beans, green beans, and Spanish rice. They were all perfectly cooked. The wife had the brisket with Mac and cheese, potato salad, and green beans. No complaints from the wife! The macaroni and cheese was perfectly cheesey and soft. Delicious food!
The thing that knocks off a star, is that the wife and I got a brownie for dessert. It was less than stellar. Brownie wasn’t sweet enough and was a little doughy/undercooked in the center. Probably not getting that again. But overall, will be returning one day!
