In 1950, with a $500 loan from his father, Bill Miller opened a small poultry and egg business. Three years later Bill Miller Bar-B-Q began as a small fried chicken-to-go restaurant. Today Bill Miller is a family owned and operated business with 77 locations in the San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas. We take pride in cooking all our barbecued meats in pits smoked with 100% live oak wood. We offer a variety of meats such as brisket, sausage, bar-b-q chicken, pork spareribs, turkey and fried chicken. We specialize in the baking of breads and pies made fresh daily. I was giving them time to make it right or something, not sure how you can, but I haven’t received any communication at all.

A couple weeks ago I got a two piece fried chicken, ate one that night, left the other for the next day. Next day after air frying it, bit in, this big thing fell out from inside the breading. That was weird, picked it, looked at it, yeah, that’s a giant grub that was cooked with the chicken. I bit in maybe a quarter inch from it. I’ll let your mind fill in what happened next but, yeah, wasn’t pretty. I turned it in the next day, left my info, haven’t heard a peep. Never had any problems before this, I guess I won’t anymore either, that was my last visit.

Update:
Really? I get a giant grub embedded in my chicken and I get the same canned response as a wrong order complaint? And it wants me to do more as the wronged person? The manager of the store has my contact info. If it mattered that much to you, they would have used it.

The drive thur was super long wait. Customer Servirce was great ie the greeting, repeated my order and how my day was going. I got home my order was missing the two hot sauce ordered and napkins and plastic ware for ordered pancake. There is always missing from this Bill Miller BBQ.

My first visit to Bill Miller. Very good experience. Brisket was not bad, sausage was awesome. Surprisingly quite a large portion of fries as a side and good price. Didn’t like Mac&Cheese. The girl at the register was very nice, the place itself was quite clean. I haven’t had any experience with drive thru, but dine in definitely recommend. My plate was ready in a couple of minutes

I enjoy the easy app ordering. I like the separate entrance for pickup orders but it is always a slow pickup experience, which is frustrating, since the whole purpose of using the app is because you’re in a hurry and want the food to be ready as soon as you arrive. Unfortunately, it takes forever for staff to greet you and ask how they can help you. I order the breakfast taco box (which is a great deal) all of the time and highly recommend it but just be prepared for a long wait in order to get it, even if you can see it sitting ready on counter. Also, they have missed part of our order before and even though we had to drive all the way back to store, no apologies or offer to compensate in any way for the mistake.

I am not exaggerating when I say the Bill Miller in Leon Springs has messed up our orders the last 5 out of 5 times!
1. They leave off extra sauces we have paid for.
2. We order ranch… they give us gravy.
3. We order rice… we get pinto beans.
4. They have given me dark meat when I pay extra for white meat so many times!
My husband has to go inside to pick up the order, check it and ask them to fix their mistakes. Today, he was tired and just went through the drive-thru.
Again, I paid for white meat and got a very small and dried out chicken leg. There was an 1/8 cup portion of rice, barely 3 forkfuls. No more. Such a shame. Bill millers used to provide quality food and excellent service.

All the fries in all three orders are extremely bland & the tacos are sloppy. How can you mess up bean & cheese?!

*the beans taste old & burnt. I’m just my kids chicken is good. Other than the whole order is a waste of money.

Disgusting! Two female employees used bathroom and didn’t wash their hands. One of them was pouring beverages and the other one was prepping the orders in the kitchen. I wish I would see it before eating, I would never come back!
I didn’t enjoy the fact that I was charged for a cup of water $.55.
Taco barely had any meat and the tortilla was burned on one side.

I ordered the special ham plate, cornbread with gibblet gravy, and coleslaw. The ham was a processed over-salted can looking ham, and the cornbread had no flavor and was dry like sawdust. Anything that didn’t have gravy on it was horribly dry. So disappointed in the quality of food.
