this was very close to a five star tenderloin. nice big thick pieces of pork with a light breading. but I got fat and gristle in both the breaded and grilled tenderloins and they were both a bit dry. the french fries were also dry which is strange it made me think they’ve been sitting under a heat lamp. onion rings had nice thick pieces of onion the codeine had hard crunchy bits which I didn’t understand but other than that not bad. the buns fell apart halfway through the sandwich. unfortunately everything was in styrofoam, no reason not to use compostables. very smoky inside so we’d see only ever do carry out.

Absolutely the BEST hole in the wall bar. Broasted porkchops still the best item on the menu. Literally 2″ thick and amazing. Side with Broasted potatoes and a salad or cole slaw. Keep it up Bill & Babes!

Stopped in here to order a burger with my friend. They didn’t ask if we wanted want toppings and they didn’t give us any toppings on it, but the burger was delicious anyway and the fries weren’t bad and the price wasn’t bad. My friend went in and said that he felt uncomfortable like he was being stared at because we are outsiders/not regulars.

Being from Boston and they advertise they have fresh seafood flown in from Boston every week, I was not a believer. I sure was wrong. I have lived in IL for 23 years now and they have the best seafood short of being in Boston.

Busy place. We were lucky to get there before all tables were filled. There were a lot of good choices in seafood and other sandwiches, pork chops, burgers and chicken. I wanted catfish but that was the one thing they couldn’t get this week so I got haddock. It was very fresh and good, served with a salad and choice of potato. Husband got clam strips and french fries. Their ice machine went out so there was no soda in cups, but they had a work-around, bottles. Everyone there really hustles to serve the crowd. Tables turn over pretty fast. I dislike the noise so would go back at a less busy time.

Well it’s an ok place. It’s only adult friendly. You can walk 100′ away to sit under a shelter to if you have children. The shelter over looks the river. To place your order it’s a must to take a nerve pill. It’s only due to fact the wait person is not real friendly. Just ignore her and order. It was difficult but do able. Enjoy!!
