I tried Bikanervala in Thousand Oaks and overall had a pretty good experience. I ordered the kachori—my first time trying it here, it tasted really good and flavorful. However, when I ordered it again on my second visit, the outer layer was a bit rubbery and didn’t feel as fresh as the first time. The portion size could also be slightly better for the price.

That said, the ambience is great—clean, vibrant, and perfect for enjoying North Indian chats. Despite the inconsistency, it’s still a nice place to explore a variety of North Indian snacks. I’d definitely visit again!

I can’t believe we have authentic, high-quality Indian food right here in Thousand Oaks! Bikanerwala completely blew me away — the ambience is amazing, warm, and welcoming, and the food is absolutely clean, flavorful, and genuinely Indian in every bite.

It’s the kind of place that instantly feels like home. Every dish tasted just like it was made with love, and you can tell the care that goes into everything they serve. Kiran Aunty is simply amazing — so kind, so passionate, and truly the heart of this place. And she made Jain food for us.

I’ll gladly drive 40 miles every weekend from Beverly Hills just to come back here. Loved every single moment of this experience!

If you’re craving authentic Indian flavors in the USA, Bikanerwala is truly a gem! From the moment you walk in, the place greets you with warm hospitality and the aroma of freshly prepared Indian snacks and sweets. The variety is outstanding—whether it’s chaats, thalis, or their wide range of mithai, everything is prepared with authentic spices and feels just like home.

I especially loved their Chole Bhature and Raj Kachori—absolutely spot on, with the perfect balance of flavor and freshness. The sweets counter is another highlight—each piece is rich, fresh, and beautifully presented. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was lively yet clean and comfortable, making it great for both families and casual outings.

It’s rare to find Indian food in the US that tastes this close to what you’d get in Delhi, and Bikanerwala really nails it. Highly recommended for anyone missing authentic Indian snacks, meals, or mithai!

On a weekday afternoon, the restaurant was pretty much empty. We ordered paratha-sabji combos. Food preparation took a while, but food was great – very flavorful!

I visited on a Saturday evening, and the restaurant was very crowded. Unfortunately, the service was not good. My meal arrived before my drink, even though the drink is usually pre-made and kept in a fridge.
I also tried to order a pre-made dessert from the counter at 9:05 PM, but I was told the kitchen was closed and they couldn’t take my order. It was frustrating because the dessert was already made and didn’t need to be prepared in the kitchen.
Drove 30 mins to this place doesn’t seem worth for next time.
Lady at front desk has atitude and think I am asking a favour to order something from here.

We ordered kachori with aloo sabzi, kulcha, chole, French fries, bhature, rasmalai, and gulab jamun. Overall, the food was really good and satisfying. The chole and bhature were flavorful, the kulcha was soft and fresh, and the desserts—especially the rasmalai and gulab jamun—were delicious and well made.

The only small drawback was the kachori, which was a bit soggy; otherwise, everything else met expectations. Overall, a great place for authentic Indian vegetarian food in LA, and I would definitely visit again.

We went to try this new restaurant and at the very 1st bite, I knew what the hype was all about. I was transported to India with the flavors. Their food is authentic, and very very tasty. The food was very well balanced, not spicy but well seasoned. We tried The tandoori platter and cholle bhature as well as some bengali sweets such a Malai Roll and Pink Rasgulla sandwich.

Everything was delicious and exceeded expectations. The owners were very nice and gave us some other sweets to try. The service and vibe was great as well for a casual restaurant. So glad to have this Indian Gem close to us.
