Excellent little gem of a cafe off of Hwy 2 just after getting off Blewett or before depending on where you are heading. I’m a trucker and stopped in to try this place out for lunch and was not disappointed. Excellent service and food! I enjoyed the Meatloaf Sandwich with Clam Chowder very much so. Has plenty of parking in back in a gravel area and a little spot on the side of the lot for Tractor Trailers. I will definitely be back! Thank you!

I made a special effort to come here during a roadtrip because of customer reviews and food photos. I had high expectations but ended up being underwhelmed both by the service and the food.

I arrived late morning and was surprised that only one booth had customers, not the early lunch crowd I’d anticipated. There were two servers in conversation behind the counter, and after I stood at the entrance for a bit, I finally asked if I could seat myself. Once seated, it took several minutes before one of them brought me a menu.

I ordered an egg, 2 strips of bacon, and a pancake. Since there were no other customers whose food hadn’t been served, I expected my simple order to come out soon, but even the kitchen was operating on slow speed.

I love pancakes. The fact that the place seems proud of its pancakes was the main reason I came. I knew the pancake would be large, but I didn’t know that wasn’t actually ideal. It was so big it didn’t fit on the platter, with my egg and bacon huddled over on one side. While it tasted fine, if a little tough, it had issues. The problems: #1 – Its size means it cools much more quickly than if it were a stack of two smaller ones. #2 – By hanging off the plate, it’s impossible to pour syrup on it without it spilling onto the table. #3 – There’s not enough butter to spread over the whole pancake, yet if they give you more, buttering the whole thing would mean butter dripping onto the table. I’d much prefer to have two smaller ones made from the same amount of batter, sitting inside the plate. They would have stayed hot and therefore more tender, and I could have poured syrup on the stack and on the plate for dipping each bite.

As it was, I ate my egg, bacon, and part of the pancake, paid my tab, and got back on the road. I don’t live in this part of the country, but even if I did, I’d drive on by and look for a cafe with more cars in the lot.

We were underwhelmed. Everything was ok and nothing wrong with any of it. We had chicken fried steak, avocado toast and a waffle. This was one of the smallest chicken fried steaks I ever had and we were surprised at the prices for the amount of food and rural location. The food I. The attached photo was $20.

What a cute little cafe! It was late and I was looking for parking for my semi truck, I thought the least I could do in the morning was patronize their business. I’m so glad I did, the biscuits and gravy were delicious and the coffee was fresh. The waitress was a doll and I even bought a souvenir mug. I just wish the sausage gravy was a little bit warmer when it was served.

Atmosphere is nice with ample parking but food and service is a miss. A group outing with friends with a wait and disappointment.
Cinnamon roll good but sandwiches for 2 of us were dry .

Probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend the hash brown omelette. Pancakes are huge!

They have an amazing brunch menu. I got a vegetarian eggs Benedict and it was delicious. Portion sizes are decent. My siblings got omelet, waffles, and biscuits and Gravy. Everyone loved their dishes, not a single complaint. Waitress was sweet as well. Great atmosphere and service was fast even though they were fairly busy. Also, prices are very reasonable.

4 days trip in Leavenworth, we turned up every morning for breakfast here. DELICIOUS !! and the side dish pancake, it’s getting bigger than the previous day, it’s sooo yummy, just I have to pack it in the box coz I can’t finish it. Very Friendly staff and easy parking. It’s out of the town, but it’s so worth it!
