My family and I were met with the greatest service and food we’ve experienced. We came in during Tuesday happy hour and had the pleasure of being served by Mikey the bartender. He filled in as a server and we couldn’t have been more lucky for that. Mikey took care of us as if we were his own family. We got to try a new menu item that happened to be the best taco salad I’ve had in my lifetime. There was no wait time, our beverages were just as delicious and overall we were met with exceptional service from Mikey. He made us feel like we’re the only people there. Took my son and family here for lunch today. I’ve been a few times now and this place is a little hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious, the service from Mikey today was perfect, as well as his energy and personality! It was a great experience all the way around, definitely highly recommend if you’re in the area and haven’t been, check it out you won’t be disappointed.

We come here and the other locations pretty often. Always love the food, drinks, & service. But this time we had issues with our pizzas not being done and bread sticks, due to the ovens having problems. Mikey was our server and he was great. He went out of his way and went back into the kitchen to make our 3 year old an entirely different pizza! He was awesome and we had great service thanks to him.

So glad we came back! My husband and I used to frequent Big Woods quite often but stopped visiting about five years ago due to poor service and quality with different management. However, I was really craving some good chili, and we decided to try Big Woods again…and I am so glad we did! First of all, we were greeted very quickly by the host and seated within minutes (early evening so not too busy yet). Our server, Mikey, came over right away to check in with us and we knew instantly our experience would be different. Mikey was truly exceptional – friendly, responsive, and attentive. He brought drinks out super fast and after I casually inquired about possibly reserving one of their spaces for a private event next spring, the general manager Tyler came out to speak with me within minutes. I was very impressed with Tyler as well – he allowed me to see the different spaces and gave a quick overview of options and pricing. He said that if I gave my contact info to Mikey, he would send me an email follow-up with details and prices to look over. I was surprised when I received the email less than 20 minutes later. I learned that Tyler took over management a couple years ago and he clearly made some changes. The beer was fresh (could not say that five years ago), nachos were excellent (loaded!) and the chili I was craving definitely hit the spot! I am so glad we decided to try again, and we will be back soon!

This is one of our favorite places to go, but anymore we won’t come unless Mike is serving in the bar area. We have been here several times and have waited 10-15 minutes to be sat, ignored by people rushing by saying “we will be right with you!” and then never returning. We’ve left before because of the wait.
Mike is always friendly and remembers our orders and makes my 11 year old son feel comfortable. We have contemplated calling beforehand moving forward so we won’t waste our time coming if he isn’t here. We have had Sammy as well a few times and she’s fantastic also.
The kitchen is hit or miss. 90% of the time everything is perfect; the rest of the time there is something major that is bad, like being out of hamburgers, or including jalapeños when we specifically asked for none. This is the kind of error that is unacceptable. As I said, even with a few mishaps, this is one of our favorite place to come bc the service is great.
Additionally, an improvement for Sunday service I’d like to note is the lack of Sunday Ticket. If the Eagles games were on, we’d be here every week. 🙂

Great wings the best around. For service Mikey is great and knows his customers and the menu. All staff is great but Mikey is the one we ask for he knows us by name. We come weekly. My wife and daughter loves the cauliflower chicken bacon ranch pizza. They have a kids menus with crayons. My daughter also likes the kids cheese pizza.

The quality and service has really went down. The amazing part is that the price has skyrocketed. With those prices you should be an upscale version of our table in bargersvillie. And you should always allow the customers to be alone to pay and do the tip. That was the only time our waiter stuck around so long. It was Sunday evening.
