First and last time visit. Specifically ordered my burger, after asking, medium rare. Ive seen corrugate with more moisture. Had the server said medium rare isn’t possible, nor is medium, nor is edible, I’d have ordered something else. I had 1 bite and then waited 8 minutes before a table touch occurred so I could ask for ketchup. They sat us at 545 and iced us out until 601 and said happy hour was over. Lastly, when the check came on a kids eat free Tuesday, all kids meals were charged. SMH – do better

Here in Owensboro visiting relatives and staying downtown, this nice looking restaurant caught our eye. We ordered off the pick two for $12 lunch specials and they were perfect. BLT with avocado half sandwiches, an ample salad, or big bowl of soup. Had to try skillet brownie with ice cream. Found all to be delicious! Had nice chat with waitress Kaylee about what brought both of us to Owensboro.

Excellent customer service! The ambiance is really cool sports bar. Lots of TVs to see the games and it’s pretty spacious. Complimentary parking located in the back of the restaurant. Happy hour is from 4-6pm! The cocktails are good and the appetizers were amazing. Descent portion sizes, which is a plus. I was disappointed that my pork chop was overcooked. The rice was still a bit hard. We really enjoyed the brownie! I would like to try the pecan dessert on my next visit.

Was able to get to a table quick. Took us a little bit to decide what we wanted since this was our first time there. We start to tell our waiter our order, we are out of those, tell him a different appetizer, then go to tell him my order, we are out of that too. So had to decide on something else to eat. After he took our order, I decided that I wanted a cocktail. Tell him my order, seems like about 15 mins goes by & I still don’t have the drink I ordered. Waiter comes by to deliver an appetizer to the table behind us, so ask him about it & was told they had to remake it. Seems like another 15 mins or so goes by & I finally get my cocktail then our food comes. Well, my sides of mashed potatoes was cold but the pork chops were hot. My mom’s mashed potatoes were cold too & then my husband had to wait on his other side. Told the waiter & he never offered to get us any hot mashed potatoes or offer to give us a discount on the bill. So more than likely we will not be back unless we go right when you open to see if it would be any different. This was were I chose to eat for my birthday too, since I like trying new places for my birthday.

A bit pricey for the portions. We got sweet tea and Dr Pepper and they were noticeably watered down. Steak was cooked perfectly (medium) but not seasoned. Mashed potatoes were great. Shrimp was good just a little tough. Was hoping the Cajun pasta would at least be spicy. It just tasted like regular Alfredo. Salsa tasted too much like plain tomatoes. If I’ve gotta use the screen to pay, I’d much rather it be on the table like other restaurants and not have the server hovering over me waiting for me to get done. It’s a little intimidating. I know they haven’t had the grand opening yet and I don’t mean to be rude with my comments just some constructive criticism. I know there used to be a restaurant there before them and I’m guessing they didn’t change out the carpet in the area we were setting in because it was dirty. The atmosphere is somewhere between wanting to be a classy restaurant, but also wanting to be a sports bar. And I’ve noticed a lot of restaurants nowadays the workers will talk about complaints amongst themselves out on the floor where customers can hear, if you wanna talk break room talk do it in the break room. My husband only got a burger and fries. Chips and salsa came as one of my sides and our check came to $85. It probably won’t be a place we go to often if at all again cause I just didn’t feel like it was worth it.

We waited 10 minutes for a hostess to even appear, was told outdoor seating was basically too much of a hassle, waited another 15 minutes for a waiter to take our drink order, which we were all ready to order by then. Then waited another 10 for drinks. Food came out and was decent, and prices weren’t bad. Overall I think they need better planning and execution, but we may try again. My club was way over buttered and the turkey was rubber like. The kids liked their mini corn dogs and $1.49 Sundays.

First time going to big whiskey’s, first of all the service was fast and friendly, our waitress was awesome. Secondly the food was amazing, I got the viking burger and fries, it was cooked to perfection, hands down THE BEST BURGER ive eaten in owensboro, I highly recommend this restaurant. 10/10 will visit again.

First time visiting. granted restaurant has only been open couple weeks but first impression was not good. 1. no access for those with mobility issues. Large stepup and all the handicap spots are pretty much far away. No direction to alternative entry point if any. Inside spacing for walkers or wheelchairs issue. 2. long long time… got to restaurant about 11:20 which we were seat… server didnt appear until 11:45 or leass thats when she put order in. 3. My mom ordered a BW club…sad little sandwich…one small piece bacon bread wasnt toasted and was served dry. we had to ask for the honey mustard… 4. I ordered the half pount boneless with caribbean jerk. The boneless came out organe colored and the sauce tasted nothing like caribbean jerk. I asked the server about it…she took it back and said nope “she” whoever that was it would be impossible wrong sauce was used… the server brough side of the jerk and it was brown was had jerk flavor. 5. main was the fajita grilled chicken wrapped…no veggies just wet chicken and cheese wrap. The server as we were waiting kept pushin us to order chips and salsa… glad we didnt. Hope you have better experience. $50 lunch way too much. Provided photos

Amazing service. We did have a small wait time (around 15 min.) even though the place looked fairly empty, but that is fine by me. It was their opening weekend, that’s totally understandable. Our food was good, it came out warm, and they have very good sized portions. Our server was amazing, she talked with us for quite a while, gave us drink recommendations and constantly came back to check up on us. She was super sweet. Will be back!

Wow! Big Whiskey is a great addition to downtown Owensboro . It is a brand new restaurant so it is still having a few glitches, but the staff is very friendly and the food was very good. They serve brunch of the weekends with $20 bottomless mimosas or bloody Mary’s along with several other signature cocktails. I saw a red white and blue margarita that looked really good. I reckoned. The wings, artichoke dip, and tavern chicken sandwich.
