Quaint & quirky Hot Dog & Ice Cream Shop on the Main Street in downtown historic Bardstown KY. Decor & furnishings are vintage inspired. Housed in an older brick building facing the main thoroughfare. Seating inside is available but limited. Most transactions appear to be to-go orders. We offered a hot fudge sundae & a single dip cone. Staff were pleasant but not overly enthusiastic (could have been a long busy day!)

In Smiley – Brown historic building that dates back to 1843, Big Wallys has tried to hold on to days gone by keeping to an old fashioned ice cream parlor feel – including a tiny little bar with stools. Always a Go to spot, Recently most new places In bardstown are always ran off. Ever since Wally’s opened I have been trying to go for ice cream. Always a wide array of flavors, especially compared to the competitor down the road. Great atmosphere. Although they had bad staff issues for a bit. The initial staff And the current staff are always good. Only thing I wish was there was the ornate shakes you guys used to do when you first opened!!! But always good to support local business. Oh and Hotdog/Slawdog was pretty good, but as of recent they’ve become more plain. Try new things and add an Actual kitchen! You’d definitely hit more people if it had the diner portion of the look too!!!!

Large selection of ice cream and variety of cones to choose from. Fun little place decorated like an old parlor shop. We walked here after our dinner on a Thursday night in Bardstown. We got an ice cream cone with 2 scoops – a little pricey, but the ice cream was good.

This place was amazing!! So glad Bardstown has a local ice cream shop. Wide variety of ice cream flavors and desserts. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had the brownie sundae with cinnamon churro and coffee ice creams. Delicious! Can’t wait to go back to try something different, most likely the ice cream flight.

For a cold and rainy day, this place warmed things up. The staff was super accommodating to my daughters nut allergy and went above and beyond to serve her. Thank you. They have GF stroopwaffels here, and apparently, it’s also been made into a coffee. I purchased both and have been pleased with them. Super place all around. They have public restrooms here, and they are clean.
