I ordered 2 meat plate, brisket and burnt ends with a side of fries and mac and cheese. Brisket was ok, but lacked flavor, and I didn’t get a lot of smoke from it (you can see from my pic that there wasn’t a smoke ring). The brisket crumbled as I touched my fork on it, so just a little soft for me. Adding the bbq zing helped. The burnt ends also lacked the sweetness and didn’t have a bark on it. It was more like like chopped brisket than burnt ends. The mac and cheese was ok, maybe a little more salt. The fries were good. similar to Mcdonald fries. The service was quick, but I was the only one there on a Sunday after lunch hour. Overall, it was decent, but nowhere near as good as a place like Lewis BBQ in Charleston. Maybe Lewis BBQ has set my standards too high. Also, I do understand I went in at a very off day and hour, so maybe it just wasn’t their best stuff that day. If I lived here, I would probably give it another try.

We had a great lunch here. We both had a pulled pork bbq sandwich and split an order of onion rings. The food came out quickly and was very good. They had 4 different house made bbq sauces. Service was very pleasant and quick. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced. We will be back again

Excellent food, staff, and atmosphere. The BBQ is flavored so we’ll, no additional sauce is needed.

Highly recommend.

Best barbeque in this town. Hands down! Finally, something that has some smoke in it. This town has been desperate for BBQ this good!

All in all, the food and service was good. BBQ platter was good, as was the Mac n cheese and slaw. The wings were also good. Awesome cornbread. Couldn’t rate 5 stars due to the baked beans. Just wasn’t good. And if you gonna serve bbq, you gotta have decent baked beans. I’ll definitely return tho.

Some of our favorite restaurants are owned by Parry Group, so we had high expectations when visiting for dinner recently. The space and decor are fantastic! The location is convenient, on the outskirts of downtown. This makes for more convenient free parking. We tried the chicken and the pulled pork and both were excellent. We were surprised the sides weren’t more creative. Why not offer hand cut fries? Some sort of greens? Maybe a couple of special salads topped with meats? The cocktails were creative and delicious, as well as reasonably priced. If they could up their game just a little, they have the potential to be a popular place, more in keeping with their family of terrific restaurants.

The brisket is great! The portions are huge, too. They have a nice variety of sauces, too. The onion rings are nice and crisp. The daily specials will definitely have me coming back. Can’t wait to try the wings.

The atmosphere is nice, too, because it’s not large and loud, it’s very quaint.

People that don’t like this place for BBQ, I can only hope for you that the McRib comes back, because that’s probably BBQ to you.

Was so excited to see a new barbecue restaurant in which offers beef brisket…the space is light, bright and clean. Even tho dining in, you order on your phone from QR code. This works fine and you can customize your food preferences. Only negative is the beer did not arrive until shortly before the food. I would prefer server take my drink order and serve it right away. Regarding the brisket-
Although it had great flavor and seasoning, sadly it was fatty with a consistency of Sunday chuck roast. Hopefully they will use the leaner, true brisket cut in the future since the sides were delicious and the price very reasonable for downtown Roanoke!

I looked forward to eating here for months! The service was fine, but the food was a letdown. I got the pulled pork sandwich. The pork didn’t have much flavor and was pretty dry. The bun was cold and hard, like it had just been pulled out of the fridge. And the coleslaw that came with it was almost non-existent. I drenched my sandwich in sauce and ate it, but sadly I doubt we’ll be back.
