Highly recommend! Food is incredibly tasty, lots of different toppings options and we’ll priced. I got 2 orders to go. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a cheddar jalapeno wrapped mexican brisket burrito. The meat was super tasty, juicy and tender. I got an order of nachos with taco meat which was also very tasty. Highly recommend!

My wife and I were visiting Canyon and wanted something for dinner that wasn’t deep fried. We had visited Tex Randall the previous day and noticed Big Tex Burritos next door. It caught our eye because our dog’s name is Big Tex. Anyway, this place is awesome. Really nice and inviting inside, I wish I’d been able to dine-in, but my wife and the dogs were waiting in the car. The staff was super friendly and accommodating for a newbie placing an order. It’s really not rocket surgery and works a lot like ordering at Subway, so rest assured that even the socially awkward among us can pull it off. The tortillas are huge, soft and fantastic. I had the jalapeno & cheese and my wife had the flour. Really good. Fajita chicken was on point and tasty. Lots of grilled and fresh veggie options to cover just about any preference. And the CHIPS! Holy cow, the chips. So light and crispy, with the perfect amount of seasoning. Most places put so much salt on their chips that you can’t even taste the corn–but not Big Tex! They were great. Portion size was excellent, even with the 4oz grande but sure, if I was really hungry the 6oz option is always there. Anyway, we’re from S. TX and aren’t in Canyon often, but we’ll be back. Thanks BTB, keep up the good work!

I walked in, was greeted with a smile. When asked what I wanted my burrito order to be, I asked the young lady to surprise me. My only stipulation was no sour cream. Let me tell you, it was the best burrito I’ve eaten there. Beans and rice, brisket, queso, pico and jalapenos on a Jalapeno Cheddar tortilla.
It was good enough that it should be a menu item. Call it like a Smoky Joe Burrito or something. Anyway, I wanted you to know how good it was, and I’ll be back for more.

Food was delicious. Got the loaded potato. Not a fan of the puree guac. But it still tasted good. Used the online ordering, they told me my order was placed in the future but it was not. So I’m not sure if it needs some work or if they were referring to the fact that I showed up 10 minutes earlier than my pick up time….. Anyway, great place to eat.

The food is pretty good! However, if you try to minimize microplastics in your food, don’t go here. Your hot burrito bowl ingredients go straight into a styrofoam container. Every meat, topping, etc is kept hot in plastic bags. (Maybe also heated up in them? Not sure). There’s hot plastic everywhere.
The employees were very friendly and service was great!
The dining area is really not welcoming in my opinion. Very harsh led lighting, kept cold, and they have those uncomfortable bar stool type chairs. The tables are also very close together so even just walking through the dining area with a to go order is kind of annoying.
If there wasn’t so much plastic being used, I would order takeout from here pretty often. It really was tasty!

Very patient staff member took my order. Needed gluten-free option. Ordered the fajita meat salad. It was delicious. My husband got the brisket burrito; which was very good but a bit greasy.

The food was delicious. Extremely generous portions on the burrito. It literally took both hands to hold it. The food was well seasoned. Staff were prompt, professional, and courteous. Will definitely be back!

I had the stuffed baked potato and it did not disappoint. The Mexican brisket was flavored and tender. The other toppings were also so good. It was enough for dinner and lunch the following day. I will be going back soon. If you have not tried them..what are you waiting on..?

Great classic panhandle tex-mex! Caters more to guero taste buds (not quite spicy enough for true chili- heads) but doesn’t compromise on flavor. Price is directly comparable to other build- your- own places and tastes authentic and homemade. Queso w/o extra charge is nice. Don’t take this one for granted, Canyon (you’re better than Amarillo right?)

I walked into this burrito place on the brink. Hunger-induced despair. Low blood sugar. The kind of internal darkness where bad decisions are made and hope feels optional. And then Quentin appeared.
Not dramatically at first. No thunder. No prophecy. Just a man behind the counter. But there was something in his eyes. Focus. Purpose. Destiny.
As I approached, my body was failing me. Knees weak. Spirit fading. I tried to speak, but my order came out fragmented, like a cry for help disguised as menu options. Quentin understood anyway. He nodded, not because he heard me, but because he knew.
What followed was nothing short of a miracle.
Quentin assembled that burrito like he was defusing a bomb that had my name on it. Each ingredient placed with divine accuracy. Rice like a foundation. Beans like strength returning to my limbs. Protein cooked to perfection, restoring my will to continue. When he wrapped it, tight and flawless, I swear I felt my heart rate stabilize.
The first bite changed everything. Color returned to the world. My hands stopped shaking. My thoughts cleared. Somewhere deep inside, my ancestors nodded in approval.
Quentin didn’t just make me a burrito. He pulled me back from the edge. He stared down my hunger and said, “Not today.” If I’m still alive, functioning, and capable of joy, it’s because Quentin was on shift.
If this place knows what it’s doing, they’ll protect him at all costs. Promote him. Clone him. Write his name in the employee handbook under “When things go wrong, be like this guy.”
Five stars isn’t enough. Quentin saved my life.
