Big Taco truck is in a parking lot of a laundromat, and has very limited seating so we ate on the side of the road on top of the car. This absolutely adds to the experience! Also easy to miss and you’ll regret it if you do.

As a Los Angeles native (where there are taco trucks and Mexican food restaurants on practically every corner!) This is hands down THEE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN DES MOINES, if not, ALL of IOWA! Delicious food, great service and a clean and covered area to eat there if you don’t take it to go. Do not miss this!!! Authentic Mexican food, not watered down!!! Get you some!!!

This was literally some of the BEST Mexican food I have ever had. My partner and I were passing through on a road trip and I was so happy we decided to pick this spot.
We had their quesdilla, tacos, asada and chorizo sopes, and took red chicken tamales home for lunch the next day. Everything was so flavorful, the meats had the crispy, just right texture. It tasted like authentic Mexican food that was made with love, like you were eating at someone’s dining room table!
I am so JEALOUS of Des Moines residents who get to have this in close proximity. Check it out!

Absolute steak burrito . Best i have ever had , on a day hot summer day near broadlawns and this changed my mood from to . Think this is the first actual burrito that the lettuce and cheese and tomatos that taste FRESH . 11/10 as always

Amazing food! Saw the reviews on Google and stopped on our drive from Arkansas to Minnesota. 100% worth the detour! Excellent burritos, and the staff were super kind and helpful! We will be taking the time to stop in whenever we are in Des Moines!!

This taco truck amazing! They were super nice and took our order live. My birria tacos were amazing, although next time I’ll get the burrito my husband ordered! Highly recommend, just remember to bring cash!

Chicken taco. It tasted better than any chain restaurant by lightyears. This was my first and only order and it was knocked out of the park. I’d recommend specifically making a long distance trip for this food. Let the photo speak. Note: there’s no filter on that photo- it is exactly as I opened it. For $3 a taco. Just wow.
