Meat lovers, pay attention!
I ended up here thanks to the guys at HEATSUPPLY. My expectations were high, but they were fully met!
First, it was time to pick out a good beer at the stall right across from them (I believe they’re connected). We went with a delicious, fresh blonde ale.
Then came the hard part: choosing the food. If you’re struggling with “choice stress,” I highly recommend the mixed platter. It comes with a variety of meats and sauces, plus some great homemade pickles on the side. Everything was fresh, delicious, and very reasonably priced!
Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Big Stuff Smoked BBQ is one of my favorites inside Markthalle Neun! Their pulled pork is incredibly tender and flavorful, with a perfect smoky touch. The staff is friendly and happy to swap out pickles with salad if you ask. For its price, the portions are a bit on the smaller side, but the quality is fantastic. We haven’t found anything similar in Berlin, especially for their smoky pulled pork (and chicken, although we didn’t have it this time). Definitely recommend checking them out!

I didn’t expect to have good barbecue in Berlin. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at Big Stuff. I got a sandwich with a smoky baked potato and mac-and-cheese on the side, and washed it all down a nice Fassbier. My beautiful wife and I were blown away by the service we got from this lovely employee named Joanna. Even if the food was bad, we would go back just for her.

We are in Berlin for a few days on holidays, and I had to come back to Markthalle Neun twice just for the food at Big Stuff! The pork belly sandwich is a dream. The meat was not overly seasoned. While it looked fatty, the texture was so perfect and spot on, you wouldn’t think you are eating pork belly. We also got the small plate with pulled pork, which again was perfect. I don’t normally like beans, but their beans are so flavourful and smoky, I actually ate it. Service is also excellent. I didn’t know what sauce to get with my sandwich and plate, but his suggestions were awesome. So reasonably price for what you get here. Date I say this is the best pork I have had in Berlin!

Tasty and juicy pulled pork with refreshing sauce! Finally try this pulled pork sandwich in Markthalle Neun and yes! It was delicious! The so called spicy mango orange sauces not so spicy but surprisingly refreshing and balancing the fatty of pulled pork. The bun is ok need more sauce actually but so far this the best Sandwich in Kreuzberg.

Amazing meat, tender to the bone. The pulled pork with BBQ sauce is to die for and the plates are a great value for money. The sandwiches were also very good. When thirsty, also try their homemade ice tea!

Amazing place, especially if you like meat. The staff is very friendly, they show you all the sorts of meat and describe the flavor so you can choose exactly what you like. I had a medium plate, it was exactly the right size for dinner. The sides of salad, apple, potato and baked beans are amazing and go very well with the meat. Take the big plate if you are very very hungry or want to share it between 2 people. The whole markt is a nice place with lot of food and drink to try. Really recommend this place, great experience overall!

Hugely disappointing meal. We had a medium meat platter and everything was extremely underwhelming. The brisket and pork short ribs were both dry and lacked all elements of a BBQ flavour. The potatoes were poor. The beans were okay. It was nice to have three sauces to try, although you’ll get a pauper’s portion of each.
I also witnessed, on several occasions when eating, one staff member coughing into his hands, handling non-food items, and wiping their hands on some fairly dirty clothing, all while wearing the same pair of gloves that were used to handling the food. Not the type of hygiene practice I’d expect in this type of environment.

I can’t describe only with words how good was everything. Definitely my favorite place when I’m in Berlin. I had my lunch there two days in a row, to be able to try other combinations of their options.
If you’re nearby and the market is open, it is probably the best place to eat in the area.
