Don’t let the quiet, no frills atmosphere fool you. Big Sister’s Kitchen delivers seriously good food. This is very much an “Auntie” style spot in the best possible way…comforting, generous, and incredibly value driven.
The portions are huge for the price. You absolutely get more than your money’s worth here.
On my first visit I ordered the Spicy Pork Meal Box, which is a perfect introduction to the menu. You get a main protein, rice, and multiple sides, an ideal way to sample several dishes in one go. The sides were standout: crisp cucumber salad, rich corn cheese, and especially the kimchi, which had real good flavor and wasn’t too, too spicy.
Everything tasted freshly made and clearly prepared with care, not rushed or mass produced. This feels like the kind of place locals keep to themselves.
If you’re looking for authentic, comforting Korean food with big portions and fair prices, this is an easy win. Great for families, casual dinners, or anyone who wants a satisfying meal without spending a fortune.

Big Sister’s Kitchen in Duluth is such a hidden gem! I really love how affordable their meals are — especially the box starting at just $13.99. You get a generous portion, great flavors, and super satisfying comfort food for a really good price.

Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and homemade. It’s the kind of food that makes you feel full and happy without breaking the bank. The service is friendly, and the overall vibe is warm and welcoming.

If you’re looking for delicious, affordable comfort food in Duluth, this spot is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We discovered this family-owned restaurant just last week and have already been back twice. The food is fresh and genuinely flavorful. Their kimbap is fantastic—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of rice and a generous serving of bulgogi. My family also loves their cupbop with protein, japchae, and fresh lettuce, and we appreciate the different rice options.

The service is wonderful and happy to accommodate different palates. Highly recommend for a quick bite or party catering. If you’re new to Korean cuisine, you won’t be disappointed!

The food is so delicious and fresh! The workers are so sweet and the extensive selection of banchan is awesome. The bulgogi has a delicious, smoky taste. Serving sizes are huge- the cupbap was enough for 2 ppl. I can’t wait to try all the other banchan! Tried the spicy pork bulgogi cupbap, and it was even more delicious! It’s seasoned nicely and comes in a huge portion. Their Tteokbokki is the best I’ve had- It’s crispy, chewy, and perfectly seasoned.

This place serves authentic Korean food! They offer catering, but the tip is optional and not mandatory. Also, it’s self-service. You get your own water and utensils, and you need to put your tray away, but they bring out the food for you. They have big portions and cheap prices. Many of their meals start at $14.

This is a hidden gem. I was a little “mehhh..” when my wife said let’s try this one. Boy was I wrong. The food stood out because it’s WOOD-FIRE bbq.
We had the spicy pork, galby and the noodle sausage (forgot the name). The Sister recommended trying out the
tapoke (slaughtered the name) , and I didn’t care for eating straight carb, I was wrong again. My wife and I finished it, which we never really eat at other restaurant. It has this unique texture to it. Was so goodddd!

This restaurant blow the other places out the water since I like wood flavored bbq. The portion was very generous for the everyday prices. I was wondering if they’re profitable enough for the portion they’re serving. The sisters was very nice and friendly. Food took about 10 mins to arrive. And the place is clean too!

It was packed when we went on a weekday evening. The photos was after the evening crowd left.

This is a definite come-back spot for us.

One of the most flavorful meals I’ve had in a long time! ❤️ Everything was simply delicious, and it was impossible to stop eating.

The service was so warm and welcoming, and the cozy, family-style atmosphere made me feel right at home. I loved being able to customize my plate with rotating soups, tasty banchan, and perfectly cooked meats.

They also offer catering, which is amazing if you want to bring authentic Korean food to an event without any stress.

If you’re in Duluth and craving that “made-with-love” kind of meal, Big Sister’s Kitchen is definitely worth a visit!

AMAZING! We drove an hour plus to this restaurant. It was well worth the drive. Everything was so delicious . My family all ordered different items, that way we could try the different dishes they offered. They need to look at opening a location in the southside near Henry County or Clayton. They will absolutely make a killing down here.

This place has been on my radar for a very long time and I finally got to try it with some friends today, one of the best if not the best Korean spot I’ve tried yet!

Prices are fair $10+, complementary barley tea, and a backhome Korean type cafeteria setup – it’s really cute and cozy

The food is of great quality in my opinion and tastes fresh. I can’t explain what it is about the food but it definitely tastes like it was prepared with lots of love and care! One of the female workers was so kind enough to give me a complimentary side of ttebokki because she noticed my flowers as a belated bday gift from one of my friends!

Customer service is 11/10, they are very welcoming, helpful and polite.

I would like to see fried tofu type skin in the future if they ever consider it because I really like that Korean style tofu they use a maybe medium firm tofu which is delicious as well

This is going to be an absolute repeat again and again for me – def check this place out it definitely lives up to its hype
