Love this little Dive cafe! Great service, HUGE portions!! We wanted more of a local feel than the hustle & bustle of a touristy restaurant & this was it! Can’t beat the prices! I had the fried shrimp with fries & coleslaw. Hubby had the California fish tacos with fries! Both were so good and filling! I do wish they had outside dining options but other than that it was wonderful! We will definitely be back!

BIG Warning–We found a worm in our food. Our son was actually chewing on the broccoli and our niece pointed out the worm with disgust after his first bite. Obviously, someone forgot to wash the broccoli off before steaming it. Here’s the worst part–I own multiple businesses and I always understood THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. Obviously, my wife was totally alarmed and worried about how the food was prep so she asked to speak to the manager and after waiting 5-7 minutes for her to come to the table I decided to approach her and introduce myself to Sherry/Sherri (the manager) and told her about the incident. She reacted as if it was a regular occurrence. She was dismissive, unapologetic, and acted as if it wasn’t a big deal.

Absolutely great, great food. Great selection aimed to please all. Many choices for appetizers and main course. We had steamed clams and Virginia chowder for apps. Chowder was full of clams,onions and potatoes in a spicy delicious broth, excellent. Clams, although little necks were cooked perfectly with horse radish sauce and a delicious clarified butter. Yummy. Main course was clamcake sandwich, thick and delicious, almost entirely crab. Also had shrimp tacos. Full and delicious shrimp cooked perfectly, served with yummy pinto beans and a simple but delicious fresh salsa of red onion, chopped tomatoes and cilantro. The best, so simple so delicious. Server was Joann, excellent service, not overwhelming but never far away. Thank you Joanne. My only ripple is that I love draft beer and they only serve bottles and cans. We have eaten at many other restaurants in Virginia Beach, but this is definitely the best. Will return again and again. Don’t pass this place up.

What a great find. Small-local feel, but don’t let that fool you. The food is amazing, made to order right in front of you. There are three sweating options. Regular inside dining area, bar seating and outdoor seating. The vibe is very “costal-local”, perfection. Definitely a recommendation for anyone passing by.
