I’d been wanting to try Big River Pizza for a while now.
I’m a big fan of wood fired pizza and was excited to finally try this tonight.
Ordering was easy and it wasn’t too busy, so my order came out fairly quickly.
I ordered a build your own with fresh mozzarella and red onions. It came out nice and hot and very cheesy.
I have plenty of leftovers to continue to enjoy this pizza.
It’s a tiny bit on the pricier side, but it’s really good pizza with fresh ingredients. It’s not some pizza chain. I will gladly pay $$ for some quality pizza.
I’ll have to stop back in again sometime. The guy working was also very helpful and chill.
Thank you!!

We ordered take out while we were staying at the hospital with our daughter. The pizza was ready on time and we had easy parking for a quick pick up. We ordered the Leroy Brown – very good, and did a build-your-own with olive oil, spinach artichoke dip, chicken, roasted garlic and provolone cheese – YUM!! They should make that a standard pizza! The pizza fries were good, not my favorite but the pizza more than made up for that.

Some of the most fresh pizza that I have ever had.

This place is fantastic, from when you first walk in, to the moment you sit down in the eclectic setting, and get your food served to perfection. The sauce is one of the most standout aspects of their pizza. You will not find a pizza that hits more in uniqueness and texture in St. Paul, and I will be going back for sure.

I wasn’t quite satisfied with the individual slices I ordered for lunch. The toppings and the sauce/cheese were good but those are the main positives. The slices were paper thin and floppy, but the crust was cooked to a crisp, making it impossible to fold the pizza. I tried to hold it with both hands but the size was too big so I had to resort to cutting it into smaller pieces. The food was expensive but despite the large slices the actual pizza was not very substantial. The atmosphere and the people were nice but I was not impressed by the food itself. Perhaps this is only an issue with by the slice orders since most other pizzas pictured in the reviews seem to be far more substantial.

Yummy Wood fired New York style slices! You can order slices or full pizzas. The pizza comes out hot & fresh & is made with quality ingredients that taste AMAZING! The crust is thin but not too thin & has great consistency & flavor.

They are wheelchair accessible & have a gender neutral restroom. I love the inclusiveness.

There is a lot of space to sit with tables & chairs spread out decently. There are no booths. Lots of natural light.

There are also standing tables out front & on the side walk if you want to eat outside.

There is street parking as well as lots of parking ramps nearby.

We love this place & will be back.

I travel all around the country for both business and pleasure, and I’ve gotten to try a lot of pizza places over the years. Big River Pizza easily ranks among the best. Their pizzas are spot on, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a perfectly cooked crust. Don’t miss out on the spinach dip either – it’s absolutely delicious!

I noticed that there are a few negative reviews for Big River Pizza, which I found surprising. Everyone has their own tastes, but in my experience, Big River Pizza is a fantastic place to grab a delicious pie.

Pizza was cool…nothing special imo and a little over done at least on the crust for me. But still good decent pizza and the prices are reasonable as well. You can also build your own but that can get a little pricey…

Best pizza in st Paul? if that’s true, I feel sorry for st Paul. Tastes like one of those places that reheats precooked slices. $6 a slice for dried out toppings and not enough cheese. Sauce was stale. Just not good. Any fast food chain pizza place is about equal to what we got. Punch/blaze/black sheep pizza is much better. Unfortunately, I’ve had better pizza from the grocery store’s freezer. Hope the owner reads this and starts serving better slices as I am in the area often.
