We stopped for breakfast on our way back from a beach weekend! This was absolutely a hidden gem!! This unassuming diner has a wonderful, friendly crew and the food is yummy!! My pancake was the size of a hubcap!! If you leave here hungry, it’s your own fault!! The food is delicious and the servings are BIG!!!!! Definitely stopping here anytime we’re in the area.

Update August 22, 2023 Big Rig 2 Received several food services violations that required a follow-up I’m disappointed I will continue to follow this & until then, I will not return. My review was posted before this date, but I will not retract it. I’ll just update it at a later time if I choose to even return!

Stopped in on a whim. Had the fried catfish, grits, and got some liver and onions to share. Food was delicious and service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the start. Very glad we stopped.

Food was really good. Came out quickly. Building could use updating, ceiling tiles show signs of multiple leaks. Prices were considerably higher than online. I get it. Everything has gone up. So took pics of the menu also.

At lunchtime, I had to wait for a while for a table, which was understandable. I ordered a fried fish sandwich and my girlfriend ordered a hot pastrami. The food took ~40 minutes to arrive, but it was exceptional. The service was average, but I’m guessing that was simply because it was so busy. Will definitely be back at another time.

This is a nice hometown diner from days gone by. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I meant to snap a picture of our food, but it looked so good and we were so hungry I forgot. I ordered a BLT and onion rings. My friend ordered beef and peppers with fried okra and cornbread. The portions were large and we couldn’t finish it all. I did snap a couple of pictures of our take home boxes. If you are in the area, it’s definitely worth the stop.

OMG! Hidden gem! We stopped by on our way to Daytona and had the most amazing breakfast in memory! Tons of love in the food! So refreshing! The staff was super friendly and amazing! You guys kicked our butts! See ya in 2 weeks! Yum yummy!

A friend of mine took me while I was visiting Florence and her animals at Journeys End. I really liked the food. The staff was very nice. They didn’t have any fresh fries and had to wait for them to put some in. The staff was very nice about it and we got our drinks for free. I will definitely definitely definitely go back whenever I am in DeLand.
