They should remove BBQ from their menu and give their establishment a good deep clean! I didn’t even take a picture of the food splattered all over the wall next to our table. If this is what you can see looks like, I can’t imagine what you can’t see (kitchen) must look like. The BBQ was the worst food we have ever tasted. We didn’t even eat it! Ribs tasted microwaved, chopped meat tasted like that prepackaged tub you buy at the store and then microwave. The sliced brisket was tough, rubbery and dry and the sausage was curled up like it does when it’s microwaved. I would bet money every meat on this plate came out of the microwave. Then there was the watery grease the fries were swimming in and soggy from! They aren’t lying, they desperately need help!

Big Red Restaurant wasn’t today’s destination. It is on my list to try; today it became plan “B.” Our destination, a restaurant further down the road, located in the middle of the construction zone, was closed. Looks permanently closed. A double back to Big Red was an excellent play.
Catfish was the special today. I’ll take that. A burger and tots for my wife. The waitress, Lisa, took care of us. She is a lively friendly outgoing young lady. A real “corker!” Excellent service.
Great Burger, the catfish was amazing. Check the pictures. I liked the slaw.
Comfortable seating. Rustic wood everywhere. Football is the theme.
Next time you are in there, ask Lisa if she still likes Coleslaw.

The biscuit felt light and fluffy but it tasted doughy. The hasbrowns and ham were covered in butter and/or grease. The hash browns were hot the eggs, gravy, and ham were warm. The biscuit was room temperature. The ham was good but about 1/3 of it was fat. The gravy would have been better if it had been sausage gravy but at least it was edible.

Food is very good but it’s very hard for me to get used to paying over $19 for a cheeseburger and chili cheese fries and drink I can’t afford that expensive of a cheeseburger I can literally eat longhorn steakhouse at these prices.
Edit: I don’t have the receipt for proof exactly but this is my bank statement and my exact order was a cheeseburger, fries and drink. Add jalapeño to the cheeseburger and I asked them to put chili and cheese on the fries. Again it was a good burger and they are always friendly but I still feel like for what I ordered it was expensive, especially for Oklahoma where a lot of people don’t even make over $15/hr.

Expectations were not high, but even with low expectations they were seriously not met. Food was out quick, which resulted in under cooked, greasy eggs, hash browns and hot link slices. Gravy was packaged (would not expect from little country restaurant). Burnt, dirty tasting bacon (wife and kids didn’t eat, which is odd for them). Coffee tasted like it was filtered thru yesterday’s work sock.
Now to the service:
Our waitress was friendly
When time to leave and pay I stood at the register for several minutes.
Older lady took my card and ran the transaction, TOSSED my card back to me and mumbled something. Wasn’t rude but definitely wasn’t customer service based.
All in all, just a bad experience and would recommend an IHOP before this place (I hate IHOP).

Food was decent but nothing I’d drive out just for. We were coming off the lake and were hungry.
Service was kinda your typical small town waitress, “what do you want and slam your drink down on the table” type. Kinda make you look at your wife an ask what’d you just do?
Pricing was a bit high for what you got but to be off the lake I guess that’s what to expect.
Place needs a good cleaning.
Overall, we might stop back in if we were hungry off the lake again.

Terri was our server, and she was wonderful. We had a vegetable plate and onion strings. Also had a cheeseburger and fries. Everything was very good.

First time dinning here. I always like to stop at places that are local. So while on a weekend get away me and my wife chose to eat here because of the all you can eat ribs on Saturday they also have all you can eat specials on every other day of the week too. The ribs weren’t the best they were kind of hit-and-miss but definitely didn’t hate them and the house barbecue sauce wasn’t bad either. The coleslaw and baked beans were good as well.

Dont know what happened to this place but its goin downhill. Order a grilled chicken salad in the drive thru and after asking to make sure they put crackers in the bag only to find out there were absolutely NO CRACKERS when I opened the bag. The are getting very chincy on the ranch dressing too. Been inside the resturant when employees kids were running all around the eating areas being obnoxious. How inappropriate. As far as the all you cant eat breakfast, the scrambled eggs are always sitting knee deep in water. How gross. And then theres the prices. While we all know prices of things are rising, if Big Reds is going to jack theirs up like that, they need to give better service and prepared food.

Some of the best catfish I have ever had! I don’t know where they get their catfish….but those fish are huge! I’m a big guy and I can only eat one filled with the sides because they are so large! It is a classic mom and pop diner and the staff is really friendly.
