Big Ray’s Burgers & Dogs is a gem of a restaurant, slightly hard to find, with its casual, homey feel and great all-beef hot dogs.
My car navigation guided me to Big Ray’s, no disappointment with food or service.
Very warm and friendly staff, and my two hot dogs with hand-cut French fries were delicious. After eating one all-beef hot dog and the fries, I didn’t have room for my second hot dog. It will be a nice treat later on today.
Al fresco dining is available when the weather is warmer. In the corner, there is a stack of family games to play.
Big Ray’s is worth the find.

Again, I tried a new place for me. You order at the counter and they call you when your order is ready. There was a nice selection of burgers to choose from. I had the Jalapeño and cheddar burger and fries. The burger was very good and had a charcoal cooked flavor to it.
The dining area was full of bright natural sunlight. They have metal tables and chairs that were clean and ready to be used.
The counter gal was very pleasant and very helpful.
Over all a great experience!

Complete Randomness
We really wanted to love the food here! While everything is fresh, the burger was bland and dry. What happened to seasoning burgers? This is not the only place that serves unseasoned burgers, and I don’t understand it.
Then, we asked for extra crispy bacon. One burger got crispy, we can deal with that. The other bacon, disgusting, nowhere near crispy, limp, gushy, just gross.
The bacon cheese fries, meh. Not a fan of cheese whiz, I wish that had been mentioned on the menu. The fries themselves weren’t bad, but they weren’t good, either. Fresh cut, yes, but a little undercooked and again, no seasoning.
The people were great, the place clean, although the mop and sign really should be in a closet, not beside a table.
Overall, we probably won’t go back. Our homemade burgers and fries are so much better even though they take a bit more effort. And at over $30 for 2 burgers and fries, we can make our own for much less.

Big Rays was alright, having seen multiple food “influencers” make videos of the joint with high regards, I was eager to try. Excited to see what the food truck has in store in the upcoming season.

First time here …love the variety of burgers and chicken sandwiches. Had the teriyaki chicken wrap, honey butter club chicken and onion rings….very good overall for price, quality. and taste. We will be back again when in the area. Love the kids pictures on the walls.

Nice quiet place. Plenty of food options. Great choices and prices. Everything was excellent. Fresh cut fries were awesome. (Could have been cooked a little longer) to my liking. BUT don’t let that sway you from getting them. They Mac & Cheese was great, creamy and warm! Just how ya like it! The burgers were good and tasty for sure! Definitely recommend stopping here if you’re hungry the wait wasn’t long for our food either!

Absolutely amazing burgers chicken and sides! Great friendly atmosphere and even better food. We took it to go cause we had to go to work but it held up even after the drive! I’m a sucker for a blue cheese burger but its often tough to find them. Low and behold not only did they have it but was one of the best versions of the burger I’ve had in a long time! My boyfriend and I will most definitely be back real soon!!

My daughter and I were in the Mechanicsburg area, and wanted to eat at a local restaurant. I checked Google Maps for restaurants. The menu and reviews swayed us. The menu said you could make your entree a combo for an additional $4.50, and an add an extra party for $3 more. We both got the Rodeo Burger, but she got a single patty, and I got two patties. She got onion rings, and I got French fries, so we could share to try each. We each got a drink. Wow! The food is fantastic! The staff was very friendly, especially the owner. He thanked us and others for patronizing this fine establishment. They even gave each of us a free, homemade cupcake that the owner’s daughter made. They were chocolate with peanut butter topping. They were moist and delicious! It is pricey — just under $40 for the two of us — and that was primarily due to not being charged properly to make the burgers into combos. Therefore, I paid ~$6 more than I should have. Even at the price that I paid, it is better than similar restaurants like Five Guys. The only issue that I had was the price. Highly recommend.

Stopped off at this burger and dog joint and it was well worth it. Tons of options on the menu to choose from between burgers and hotdogs, they also have options for appetizers and salads, and the kids menu. You can customize your burger however you would like I got the Hawaiian burger with a large fry and a small mac & cheese and all of it was fantastic packed with flavor And goodness. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.

Found this place from being reviewed by platescraperz. Food was delicious. Prices were excellent if not on the cheap side. Place was clean, bathrooms were clean, staff was super friendly and nice. Wife and kids loved it as well.
