We go every Wednesday for Pizza and trivia and we always have a great time. Davin the owner and his staff are wonderful people who have become dear friends to us. What a great spot! Food is delicious, service is great and there’s 12 televisions to watch sports. This photo doesn’t do it justice but the traditional wings with the chipotle mango bbq is the best! Go give it a try and you can thank me later, you have just found your go to flavor. Pizza is always spot on. We’ve tried some of everything and everything was good. You can tell the owner cares about the quality and flavor that is on the menu. Go give it a try you won’t be disappointed!

This place was recommended to us by friends who regularly watch NFL games here, and it did not disappoint. It’s a cozy, sports-themed spot with ice-cold drinks and hot, flavorful food. The staff is genuinely friendly, and the owner is down-to-earth, creating a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. The pizza is outstanding, the wings are excellent, and the fries are perfectly crispy and delicious. It’s a great environment for NFL fans and family-friendly with an overall great vibe. This was the worst experience I ever had in my life I was on a road trip with my friends we stopped by yesterday. Are chicken wings were burned are pizza dough was uncooked. I asked to speak to the manager we waited there 20 minutes more. He never showed up. I pass by the kitchen the doors dirtiest unsanitary the floors were so nasty food on the floor. The staff there in the kitchen didn’t wear gloves or caps. Just plain unacceptable in many ways. The plates they gave us were not washed thoroughly the glasses had stains. I put my pizza slice on napkins. Concealer so disgusting and then to find out that the pizza was not even cooked thoroughly. There was vomit in the restrooms the restrooms look like they haven’t been clean for months. There was vomit employee, in the kitchen where were they preparing food. And also on the floor. Disgusting you can smell the vomit in the doorway of the kitchen. I’m so glad I didn’t have a bite of that pizza not even tempted to have a bite of the burn chicken. It smells terribly bad. I recommend you do not stop by this place it’s so disgusting. I didn’t drink anything, due to the glasses unclean not washed thoroughly. Stains,smudges, fingerprints. This was the worst most horrible terrible experience of being present there to eat at this location.

First time eating here. I looked at the pictures and read the reviews and decided to try it out. I was very impressed with the service and the cleanliness of the restaurant. The staff was friendly and greeted you as you walked in. Got home and the pizza did not disappoint. I will be eating there again.

I eat at Big Papa’s Pizza every Wednesday night for the past 5 years with my family and friends for pizza and trivia. . The pizza and wings are delicious. The service is amazing and the atmosphere just keeps me coming back. Absolutely my favorite restaurant in the San Antonio area. The staff of Davin, Macy and Geneva are truly like family to me. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Our pizzas were burnt. The crust was like eating a hard cracker which took away from the meal. The flavor of the toppings was good and the cheese was a great blend. We tried the Meatie, the Chicken Bacon Buffalo Ranch, and the Hawaiian. The Hawaiian was the winner in taste. It’s always frustrating when the toppings and cheese aren’t carried near the edge of the pizza and that’s why our crust was burnt. Can’t comment on the atmosphere but they did make us another pizza since one of ours was made incorrectly so kudos on service. We’ll give them another try but will ask that they don’t cook them too long.

I feel like Big Papas probably isn’t getting the love they deserve, based on their older reviews and photos. This afternoon we ordered a large Homewrecker and an order of cheezy bread. I must say it was pretty damn delicious pizza! I called my order in which was ready within 20 minutes to be picked up. I’d recommend this pizza hands down, go out and support your local small businesses!
